      I think 200k might sound a lot because African Americans average income is 35k a year. This is why when they have 20k they feel the need to flex it on social media. 20k in black community is a hell lot of money.
      For Asians, the rappers flexing their cars and chain isn't even close to our 401k and stock options. Forget about investments and assets. This is why Asians don't feel comfortable flexing even 1 million dollars because a lot of Asians make more than 1 million a year. From health care, to tech, to start ups, to engineering, to anything to do with maths the brain power of those industries are run by Asian brains. We are like the CPU of america's growth. We are the highest income earners in America for a reason.
      The difference is night and day when the rappers flexing on their music and social media influencers look poor to us.

      Before you go in on me yes I do acknowledge all the great African warriors and other indigenous ones adorned themselves with jewelry and they were all Super Masculine.
      That’s fact. But in these modern times this Street Culture seems to have an obsession with jewels. Like it’s tied to Manhood, a rite of passage or something.

    • @taysenna8025

      @@klaybiggins4040 yea forsure I don’t think jewellery (or clothes cars or anything like that) should be used to represent somebody’s absolute worth. I don’t think people should be dying over chain snatching or Jordan drops. I’m just blown by the female part. It’s not just African American culture who makes a big deal of jewellery either. I live in the uk we’re there’s plenty of working class white and Asian areas who make a huge (albeit not as big as African americans) deal of material possessions like chains and clothes. I’m just saying maybe your culture ( maybe white American?) is what gave you this connotation with jewellery and femininity

    • @klaybiggins4040
      @klaybiggins4040 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@taysenna8025 … thank you for explaining your viewpoint. I see where you’re coming from. How I phrased it left it open like I was saying jewelry is feminine and it was meant to be an insult. Not my intention. It was only that I observed growing up that my Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunts would have jewelry boxes and such. Had various pieces for different occasions depending on the level of formality.
      The men I grew up around were lower to middle class Black males. Construction workers, sanitation, maintenance, custodians etc etc. With an occasional doctor or teacher here and there. There never seemed to be that much of a preoccupation with accessories like the brother on this clip was expressing. Yes there were class rings, wedding rings, necklaces and bracelets worn. A little something extra when folks got “clean” for the weekend with some young lady but not a concentrated effort to have brightest and realest bling ever.
      *I Apologize* for how long winded this reply turned out. I was just trying to convey what the female and jewelry connect I had made stemmed from.
