These new optimas are so freaking underestimated in performance capabilities. They are actually super quick, I would even say fast. Yeah, they don't have launch control, but once at speed they are fast! They are not any slower than these highly praised accord v6's, G37's, etc.... I drove this car in exactly the same package and color, and is just a beautiful car!!! If you wanna say it's slow, or that 4 bangers suck, and that the v6 will smoke this, that just means you have no clue about what this car is. You people realize that this car has the same engine as the Lancer EVO..but it's just de-tuned, and the torque curve is better. This car has more torque than any v6 on the market. All the torque is available at 1350 rpm - 4500 rpm. The highly praised accord reaches its peak torque at 4500.
I am so tired of hearing a Honda Accord six-cylinder engine will smoke "this thing," a Toyota Camry XLE/XSE will "smoke this thing," a Nissan Altima SV/SL V6 will "smoke this thing." ... Kia focused on economy, refinement, and value packed into one vehicle. A Honda Accord doesn't offer climate control seats; a Toyota Camry doesn't offer an available 360-degree camera; a Nissan Altima doesn't offer heated rear seats. I would choose the comfort of an Optima as a mid-size, family sedan than to choose to race a Honda Accord as if it was built for a track.
Unnecessary, the chassis draws praise as is for being smooth and competent, the transmission could use more gears but is quite good as is and the suspension is very nice because unlike a lot of cars, it is the CORRECT firmness. And AWD is not very beneficial in the real world, just brings down the mileage. If you want to pass up a great car, your loss but the "improvements" that you demand aren't improvements at all.
Can some one please help me? I am stuck between the Sxl Optima or the NIssan maxima SL. Now personally I know i want to but this car and have it for a long time. Nissans track record do not support longevity as far as the maxima is concerned. But can anyone throw some ideas and opinions at me
I'm prone to motion sickness, and unfortunately your POV videos make me seasick. A fixed camera instead of a helmet cam would make them much more viewable. I tried watching, but had to quit after a minute or two and take a Dramamine.

With a CVT, it never skirts only you corner lol! This car handles very sporty in comparison to a 2014 Civic ex-l. Very quiet on the highway.

Can't believe what Honda tells you. They seem to slowly be falling behind with their vehicles. Disappointing because they use to be the best.

Trash car, will fall apart in less than 100k. While my boring but reliable 2014 Camry SE V6 would not only smoke it but last way longer.
Cap. Have had mine since launch. 123,000km, never had an issue with it.
