I bleached my hair last night and used a natural blonde wella. It was way to blonde so I bought a honey blonde toner By ion. It turned a strawberry blonde/honey. Not what I was looking for. I ran to CVS and bought laurel high brown glaze. I still wanted blonde but a 3D look. I did as directed but insteadof saturating my hair with the brown I squeezed out 1 50 cent piece size of the glaze until I felt I could still benefit from blonde color (2 1/2 squeezes). I was hoping to have highlights as a bonus so I brushed the glaze in my hair . It looked like a dark blonde as I wait the 15 minutes. Rinsed it and blowed dried and it came out to be a beautiful darker blonde. I would explain it as a Mixter of gold but it looked like honey snd platinum blonde had s baby. And the perfect combination of its DNA mixed. And I did get my bonus of platinum highlights ( the natural blonde toner parts) snd honey/strawberry blonde (from the honey blonde toner). I know the gloss is not permanent but because I didn’t have to use alot I have plenty left for 7/8 applications and the bottle says three
I’ve boxed dyed my hair maybe 4 years ago and the bottom of hair looks like I balayage it. It’s lighter then my roots are like a black. How what that work?
What is the color on the box ? I don`t know what to chose between Morocconoil mask treatment color COCOA or this one. Any advise ? please :) Love your hair :)
I just used the Kristen ess one again and it’s subtle but effective! If you’re looking to tone down the brass it’s great and the color I used was Smoky Topaz
I see that this tends to come out true with the brown and black but I can’t see how the ruby is going to work. Ugh wish their products were much stronger but your hair looked great regardless with the brassiness
I just received mine in the mail and am scared to try it. Did you find that it lightened to its true advertised color within a few washes? I’ve used the Age Beautiful demi colors, but even the medium blonde color looks super dark brown during the first 5 washes before it lightens to the color that’s shown on the hair swatch at Sally’s! I know that this Kristen Ess hair color is also demi permanent, so that’s why I ask. Thank you!
Hi Ruthie, I did find that it lightened almost right away but I also use dandruff shampoo so it would definitely expedite the lightening. The gloss kept the dimension of my hair and the highlighted balayage pieces were still light (which never happens with me for box dye) and you could still see that they were significantly lighter. In my experience, on my hair, it worked more as a toner than a semi or demi permanent dye. Hope this helps!
Oooohh a Canadian icon! Have to admit that is has definitely significantly faded. It says about 28 shampoos but noticing fading after about 10. Hair still very shiny though!
Was working under the assumption that it is more similar to box dye (which usually takes 2 boxes to fully cover my hair) one definitely could have done it though!
Hair gloss and hair color are two very different products. To be able to give an honest review you would really need to study and test the product just to avoid misinforming people... Regardless your hair looks beautiful , 👍👍 just an honest opinion.
So pretty it looks so healthy too. I’m gonna try the black one next week, also love the red lipstick!
Came out super pretty! I’ll be trying out the honey wheat gloss soon, thanks for your review!
Nice! Thank you for the kind words, hoping the gloss works out for you!

Nice! that was smart thinking! I love that you're able to work with the stuff to make it work for you and that it's not permanent. Thanks for sharing
Please post a tutorial on how you style your hair! It looks so lovely! Sending good vibes ✨
That is so nice of you to say! You've made my day. I'll definitely try to film something. Thank you!
Hmmm I wonder what would happen if I tried to bleach my hair after using this? Anyone know? I’d hate to fry it off

Looks great wow ! Love it
Do you think it works in my dark brown hair?

It's not a product intended to do drastic color changes

Does this stuff cover a bit of grey too??
No it says on box, no gray bc it is ammonia free
WERE YOU EATINF AN ORANGE PEEL???
It's not a box dye it's a toner.
Looks gorgeous!! Did it hold up well? I would def want to give this brand a try. Thank you. Xoxo
Thank you for the kind words! It did hold up well and when it faded it didn't turn brassy. Kept it really shiny for a while too!
You remind me of Avril Levine …..hate the smell of it too, how long does it last ?

I just did mine and whole time I was like “I wonder who else thinks this smells like lice treatment”! 😂 😅
Haha I’m glad I’m not the only one to have that thought
Why 2?
