I find your videos so clear. I am very elderly now and trying to revise my German which, once upon a time, I spoke very well. But this video about the active and passive voices especially reminded me of studying German in my school days. I often discuss with friends of my age how grammar was drummed into us in school, because if you don't know English grammar thoroughly it is harder to learn the grammar of another language. Thank you for such good lessons.
Sorry for making a suggestion you didn't ask for, but I think some collab with some other channels or websites would do you good, because your videos are a gold mine. Such an underrated channel!
@@HerrFerguson Your videos remind me a lot of Osmosis medical videos. It's probably too expensive for you to make something similar, but an already established website that could embed your videos alongside their content? I'd starting sending some e-mails for partnerships, nothing to lose.
@@HerrFerguson btw, if you can allow me some honest feedback on the videos. Pretty much the only thing I really think you should change is the intro. It's way too long for these zoomers starting to learn German nowadays. If someone clicks a video, and you immediately start talking about that subject, I think they're more likely to stick around and watch your video instead of trying something else. Everyone wants short and concise explanations, which yours very much are, but your long intros are detracting a lot from it. You can easily shove in that extra info along the video or at the end.
4:23 "The apple is an IT, so we use the IT form of werden". Isn't 'Der Apfel' an Er due to the fact of it being a masculine thing? I understand it would still be 'wird' though. Thanks so much for your videos!
Hello Mr feerguson. I have a question. ICH WEIS NICH , OB ICH DAS RICHTIG GESAGT HATTE or ICH WEIS NICHT , OB ICH DAS RICHTIG GESAGT HABE. Are both of these sentances correct. I know that there is a difference the second is if you said it in a conversation and you just said it and want to correct yourself and the first one is in the past past... Am I correct or have i missed rhe point hahahah.
Absolutely correct. Example one: (Using ‘weiß’ or ‘weiss’ with 2 x ‘s’) means ‘I don’t know whether I had said it correctly’ and the second means ‘I don’t know if I said it correctly’
by far the best online leherer ever. vielen dank sir
Danke sehr!

You are correct! I was trying to make it more understandable for an English-speaking learner.
