Here is a tutorial of how I made my own diy letter stencils using chopping mats from the Dollar Tree and my Cricut maker and the knife blade.

Great! I plan to make dividers for my planner and wanted to know exactly what setting to cut these mats. I cut "acrylic art paper" for the first try. There is no setting I could find for that. On the art paper, I needed 4 passes and it was still a bit ragged. This is a big help, thx.

For the dollar tree chopping mat do you know what material you selected..I seen you answered a simuliar question but I didn't see anything specific for this material..thts wht I'm using but trying to get it close to it as possible so I'm not messing with alot of different ones thank you

What kind of blade do I need to cut stencil on my cricut the material that I have is like a just plain stencil material useable that is ? Thank you 😊

I used the knife blade on this material. For stencil material it might be the regular blade but I’m not too sure. Once you select the materia it tells you what blade to use.

@@UnaCraftyTeacher I’m just learning how to use it and today I selected the right material setting that I thought but it doesn’t cut all the way through . I guess I’m going to have to figure it out I don’t know . Thank you sweetie

@@Rita-yw2tn yes sometimes it takes some playing around with the pressure or selecting a different material. I recommend cutting something small so you don’t waste material 😊

Is the knife blade the blade the cricut originally comes with?

No it’s specifically for the Cricut maker

How do you not cut the mat?

Because it’s enough cuts to cut the material. I’m sure if you add more cuts then it will cut the mat

What do u mean 12 cuts?

When it’s a thick material the machine does several cuts to cut all the way through. It’s not like paper or vinyl that it only needs one cut.
