One of the other guys that worked there still had his family back "home" and he would send them the majority of his wages each month, that money just left the economy. I wonder how many other people send money to another country like that.
I worked in the NHS with Philipino nurses. Fabulous people, excellent workers, and really naturally caring. One told me it is almost compulsory for them send some of their money back home. Its part of their culture.

I wish he could, but since parliament limited the power of the Sovereign, from 1689 onwards, he can only give pardon on the advice of the Home Office. So that's not going to happen.
I would have more confidence in the King actually ruling than I do in parliament. The Sovereign has a long term care for the country, not the five years that any government has.
I've seen comments saying that The King should dismiss Starmer. Again, nice thought, but we are nowhere near the situation where that could happen. Maybe if Starmer carries on as he has started, it might happen, but it's a difficult thing to balance.
