Our first session of the AI Reading Group featured the paper "INDUS: Effective and Efficient Language Models for Scientific Applications", which introduces a suite of large language models (LLMs) tailored for Earth science, biology, physics, and other scientific domains.

About the author: Aashka Trivedi is an AI Research Engineer at IBM Research, where she focuses on creating efficient models through Knowledge Distillation, and techniques to align large language models to human values. A large part of her work makes large language models faster, better and more curated to individual business needs.
