How much money have you lost this year?
Excellent question... Exactly zero. You don't lose ANY fiat unless you sell for less than what you paid. I feel that I am ahead of the game holding actual money rather than a currency that is losing its value by the minute.

I also started stacking last October 2021
200 pounces of silver. 100 face value constitutional circulated
1 ounce of gold
And a few nusmatic coins raw and graded
Oldest is a 1823 capped bust half dollar.

Brother.. I am as blue collar as you can get... Slow and steady purchases really do accumulate .. you just have to be motivated and stay focused (maybe a little OCD too). You can get there. Good luck.
Rich and white collar do not equate to silver stackers. Most stackers I know are very blue collar. It is about priorities. I had a roof over my head when I started, but that was about it. The termite damage made the floor dangerous to walk on. The plumbing and electric were very faulty. I had to haul in water. Used a temp toilet when toilet was off for 12 weeks at a time during ice stones. The refrigerator cooled stuff in the winter, but ice cream, meat and milk did not survive. I filled a tin trash can during winter and used the car as a refrigerator during winter. I had no formal kitchen, no stove, etc. Used an old back porch sink addition and electric skillet. Microwaved instant coffee. The dog's water would freeze in the house at night. The point is, we were stacking silver so we would not have to live like that always. My husband died before he could see the house improved. But we still have the original silver. It is about priorities buddy!!!!
My secret...everytime I wanted to buy ANYTHING other than necessities I instead immediately went and purchased bullion

Little known story of the red paint coins: back in 65, 66, 67…it was semi common for folks to paint their silver coins red so they were easily distinguished from the new clad coinage. Back then it was common to have clad and silver all mixed around, and folks started to paint the silver so that was spent or taken the bank last.

Also used to determine house money for vendors who had jukeboxes and such at restaurants and businesses. When they came by and collected their weekly earnings from machine they would leave the red painted coins because they were the business owners coins.

Cool, I started stacking one month ago 4/1/23. Have purchased 1350oz silver and 52 Oz .9999 gold. I skip the bullion unless it’s very interesting to me. Paying top $$ but I’m interested in owning it not making money unless it takes off. Just bought $2500 face of assorted constitutional mostly BU halves, quarters and dimes of different pedigrees yesterday . I think I have enough for my first month.
