I thought that was one of the most incredible performances I've seen (or listened to)... Teddy delivered with force, Kelly added just the correct & right support, and the instrumentals were spot on. Absolutely FANTASTIC!
Been a fan of Teddy for a couple years now on social media. And Kelly is just inhuman with her voice. A lot of the time she really doesn’t prepare very long for all the covers she does. Her and Teddy worked this out right before the show. And when she opens her episodes with covers, they were only selected right before the show begins she is just master class
Kelly Clarkson is just a master at her craft. She really doesn’t prepare a whole lot beforehand. They went over who was going to do what right before they performed this together. I am OBSESSED with this version/duet! So good! KC is a great duet partner. She doesn’t try to oversing or outsing whoever she is singing with. She is a legit fan of music in general/other artists & has no issue in sharing the stage. Just another reason to love her. Teddy Swims is an incredible talent as well! I’m less familiar with him, but he has a very nice voice as well as great control over it!
If it wasn't for Kelly introducing artists through her Kellyoke and guests, I would be missing out on so much. She always says there's more than enough room for everyone, and she is freaking right. Love her.
Her music director (Jason) and her show runner moved to NY the rest of the band members film and return home. She said after divorcing that she wanted a fresh start completely away from anything her ex touched.
#CrazyGood indeed! :) Teddy is Teddy, & thus undeniable. Kelly Clarkson doesn't seem to be shown the appreciation she deserves- she can sing *anything* ,knows exactly how to fit into an arrangement for these duets with minimal, or as in this case zero, rehearsal.... & her choices drip musicality in service to the piece. She's phenomenal. :)
There is a reels of them "rehearsing ". There was no full run through for this performance. One of Kellys wishes were to sing with Teddy. She's a huge fan
I've love Kelly Clarkson since I heard her sing RESPECT in the American Idol preliminary cuts. I'vejust recently heard Lose Control by Teddy Swims, and love his voice.
I always love hearing Kelly. I'm a big fan of hers. There's another artist I would love for you to check out and react to. He has a few albums now with many great songs. But one thing special about him besides his talent as a singer and songwriter is his tenacity to overcome a tragedy and make it back to the stage. His name is Drake White. To give you a taste I would recommend you start with his video describing the meaning behind the song "Hurts The Healing", and then follow it up with that song. They were done in 2021. And on another day one of the following. Makin' Me Look Good Again And/or The Power of a Woman.
Kelly has family in North Carolina and wanted to be closer. She struggled during the pandemic having no family near her in California while she was going through her divorce.
Kelly wanted to be closer to her family on the East coast; she let the higher ups know she would like a chance to shoot the show anyplace closer to them. At the same time, tax breaks become available for shows taped in New York. NBC jumped at the opportunity to move her show to New York. Thirty Rock was the perfect location as they shoot so many NBC shows there already. They haven't given information about how the band reacted, whether they relocated or not. Jason is having a house built and occasionally posts updates. Jessie posted about her apartment hunt, so it sounds like she also relocated. BTW, Kelly has used the mic trick forever. Whenever she's going to belt, she pulls away from it.
Funny you say Kelly comes in prepared. Typically they do these after she runs through them once, the day of the recording. Her music director Jason and backup singer Jessi and the band do all the pre-work beforehand.
The his original version is so much better. With this one there is an addition that is really just a bag of hot air not adding anything to the sound. Its not even something pretty to look at if I am being honest. Teddy doesn't need a +1, he's his own +1 when it comes to singing.....
Kelly is an adaptable singer. She can harmonize with anyone. Talent in full force.

Kelly reminds me of an excellent drummer that hears music and then comes up with the beat afterwards. I don’t know how else to explain it.
Exactly! Check out Chad Smith 30 seconds to mars. Sums up exactly what you said

Kelly is just amazing. So gracious in the way that she lets other people shine in their moments
Her music director (Jason) and her show runner moved to NY the rest of the band members film and return home. She said after divorcing that she wanted a fresh start completely away from anything her ex touched.
They are both incredible artist.

It kinda looked like it was during the commercial break, and more of a I think I'll do this, and you'll do that lol
Grammy worthy ✨
Teddy Swims is the baby of Post Malone and Chris Stapleton.

Makin' Me Look Good Again
And/or The Power of a Woman.
She did all this music melody set up with her band and the backup singers during a commercial break.
They need to collaborate again, this was crazy good!
Kelly has family in North Carolina and wanted to be closer. She struggled during the pandemic having no family near her in California while she was going through her divorce.
Please react to “Suitcase”. I’ve been listening to him since the beginning of 2022 and I’m glad we got an album.
Its hard to listen to the song when you keep interrupting with your your little commentaries. Cann you do that at the end of the song instead ?
@@victoriaecksteen8743 Bro what are you talking about?
Teddy always uses his hands. He's like directing himself.
awesome reaction! Teddy also covered "Cruel Summer" by Taylor Swift - you should definitely check it out!

Awesome ❤
I’ve always wondered if guest singers stick to their original song or if they throw in ad libs. Kelly certainly accommodates whichever it is!
They are amazing and i loved your reaction. Please react to Gabriel Henrique´s Live Performance on The Jennifer Hudson Show !
Big fan of Teddy. You need to check out his cover of Taylor Swifts "Cruel Summer" on Brit One TV. He is awesome and his band is super tight.
Kelly’s sexy notes just add so much to this song. Yeehhzzzz
You were talking and missed one of the most fierce lyrics in the song “my skin in your teeth.” Fierce
Funny you say Kelly comes in prepared. Typically they do these after she runs through them once, the day of the recording. Her music director Jason and backup singer Jessi and the band do all the pre-work beforehand.
She didn't practice but once I believe. There's video of her talking about it.
Im tired of reactors thinking their opinion matters. It doesnt. We just want to enjoy the song with someone without interruption. FFS
hope you have a nice day, im sorry to hear you didnt enjoy the video!
