Thanks for this. I'm in LSAT prep and I'm curious how far out you'd extend this advice in terms of raising score vs applying sooner. All else being equal, what's the latest test you'd say having one extra point is better than applying at any earlier time? November? January? Or is it right up until deadlines that having a one point higher score is better than applying with the lower score but earlier?

Hi. Good question! It varies a bit because not some schools, like Yale, make even their earliest decisions late, say January. And it varies by cycle. But to answer your question, I'd try to apply by December with my best score. Post December you may start risking that +1 reward.

Great question! No, since the timeframe of transfer admissions is much shorter and you are competing for many fewer spots, timing can be much more important in some cases.
