  • In this episode of Status Check with Spivey, Mike discusses a question we receive often (especially lately, in light of the most recent U.S. News law school ranking methodology changes that significantly emphasized job outcomes over admissions metrics)-just how important is work experience in the law school application process?

This is good news for me. I only got a 159 but I have over 20 years experience in business.

This gives me hope. I'm a super splitter with a strong LSAT score and 13 years of work experience. I'm applying to several reach schools, sounds like I can be hopeful if I'm waitlisted. Also, not sure if law schools will consider this to any extent, but my highest LSAT score was obtained during the August test.

Thank you both. Will URM status play a role in a school’s scholarship offering or estimated amount given? The SCOTUS decision mentioned more about admissions itself, but seems unclear about URM as a factor in scholarship consideration *after* being admitted.

I don't think it will impact merit aid
