@@shinseikamattechanfrsub3616 It’s already left wing, and not even secretly. I also hate the Conservative Party in the UK, however it’s leftism in general which is the problem in the UK. The environmentalist policies, the lockdowns, the insanely high spending, mass uncontrolled immigration, identity politics. None of these things are right wing policies, yet all of them are things that the Conservative Party has pushed, and whenever someone even mentioned that they should address these issues, then nothing would actually come of it. The Tories are Labour under the speed limit, and that is why they are now a dead party; they were elected in 2019 with mass support nation-wide because they promised right wing policies, and of them they have only delivered Brexit (and even then undermined Britain’s national sovereignty in Northern Ireland).
Giving Britain a Labour government would be a good way to speed up the country’s collapse even further. Because the same problems that the Conservatives have caused, Labour will also continue and make them even worse because they’ll also push for further left policies.

Yeah. There was "talks" today between sunak and Johnson. Idk if it's even possible for Johnson to get over 100 (maybe Graham Brady specifically chose this number as just too much for Johnson to get). But both haven't officially declared their candidacy yet, the only one being Mordaunt who definitely won't get 100. My guess is some kind of corruption or quid pro quo so Johnson stands down and tells his supporters to stop indicating their support (so he doesn't get to 100 and it goes to a vote). It's amazing that there isn't any discussion as to the potential reasons why the Torrie membership seems to be so against making Sunak PM.
The fact that most of his colleagues appear to believe that he would be the best person for the job and he has proven himself competent, in terms of his accurate predictions for the economy under the Truss premiership, it's quite hard to understand the rationale behind their unwillingness to support him.
This is then compounded by the apparent willingness of the Torrie membership to bring back Borris Johnson, a former (disgraced) PM, who suffered a vote of no confidence and had more than his fair share of controversy during his time as PM.
It seems like the Torrie membership is not as concerned with a candidate's level of competence and merit to be PM but is perhaps more motivated by their own ideological views...

All I know about tory politics is from these videos but this is my understanding.
The ones that know how bad it is aren't the ones making that decision. There is a weird split where the majority of MPs realise it's bad for the party, but the membership think otherwise. The MPs had the power the force him to resign before but the membership have the final say in party elections. And the MPs themselves are fairly divided themselves, so it's a bit of a cluster fuck.
The committee according to this video could have prevented the membership from having the final say but decided against it. idk why they decided this, it is kind of a big fuck you to the member of your party who donate and vote for you, so maybe that's something to do with it.

He has dark skin and he sounds like an expert in Academia and banking.
Boris Johnson also is very well studied, but he’s good at acting like an idiot, which makes it easier to get into office.

As someone from outside the UK, isn't there a way for the people to force a general election? Like if a certain percentage of the population signs a petition asking for it or something?

Parliament could adopt the California constitution for themselves (thus allowing for such recall elections); alternatively they could join a new volunteer army declaring King Charles as absolute monarch (this would moreso be premised on King Charles telling Boris Johnson that his resignation is too fresh to be allowed to form a government).

So if I understand correctly the Tories are in danger of electing another leader who might only last a few months, if he's suspended? At this point I'm just covering my eyes, I can't believe these people are real.
