Yes,this really is a great tv show. Each episode is hilarious,well-made and worthwhile. I think that this tv-show could have easily continued for several more years past the time it actually ended. I cannot help but wonder what 'might have been' with a bit-bigger budget and another couple of seasons of shows. Who knows? I do have a great appreciation for the 2-seasons that were made, this was a masterpiece I say.
“Leroy's Suits” Season 2, Episode 17, aired 19 Feb. 1953. Alvin Childress as Amos, Spencer Williams as Andy (as Spencer Williams Jr.), Tim Moore as Kingfish, Ernestine Wade as Sapphire, Johnny Lee as Calhoun, Amanda Randolph as Mama, Amos Reese as Lt. Randolph, Nick Stewart as Lightnin' (as Nick O'Demus), Jay Brooks as the Judge, Dudley Dickerson as Joe the Shoe Shiner, Arthur McNeely as the Landlord.
In one episode they actually did go get marital counseling from a couple who had a radio show all about being a happy couple. But Kingfish and Sapphire found out that this supposedly perfect couple actually had a miserable marriage. In the end, Kingfish and Sapphire realized that their marriage could have been a lot worse, and that they really did love each other.
@@RadicalforGod In this series there black folks played the roles of; judges, law enforcement, mail carriers, society people, entrepreneurs, haberdashery owners, professionals, janitors, ... Those are honorable positions to have. Compared to the foolish violent depravity passed off as 'entertainment' these days Amos n Andy are SOLID with me. Thanks to the jackasses at naacp, those talented actors lost their livehoods. They were being paid $700 per week which are the current rate is about $7K!

First and Best Ever. God Bless Amos N Andy!
Brilliant script, greatest cast ever, and so much better than subsequent TV comedies we have had to endure.

The best.
Very fine.....easily as great as "The Honeymooners " or " Abbott and Costello " and as relaxing as " Laurel and Hardy " .
It's better than Abbott and Costello and Laurel and Hardy, but no, it's not as good as the Honeymooners.
@@johndickson9542 Begging your pardon, it's better than Abbott and Costello and The Honeymooners, but NOBODY is better than Laurel and Hardy!

The black racists who outlawed fine black talent are to blame . They caused more problems than the KKK!

I firmly believe that Kingfish and Sapphire could benefit from family meetings when they first get up.

Calhoun iam feeling real loose here.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who google map that cops adress! 421 west 184th st..yes I was bored! 🤔😆
Oops, I did the same thing! I also google-earthed other addresses from the series. Maybe we should get therapy.
