yes me too! I forgot to mention in that walk through but once i got all the designer layers in the pages laid down for me (whoo hooo) so that means I"ll be using on the hinge as well as the spine. Daphne
I cover the whole backside of the hidden hinge piece with it before I start scoring the peaks and valleys. My thought was that once pictures, etc. were added, it puts a lot of strain particularly at the top of the hinge and by using the tyvek, it would never rip.

I’ve used tyvek instead of bookbinding tape, but I put it on the backside of the spine before I create the peaks and valleys.
