that's not true though. it may not cause YOU to become abusive in any way, but everyone shows symptoms and behaviors differently. that's like me saying BPD doesn't make people abusive bc i don't present those symptoms (anymore). people who have BPD can ABSOLUTELY be abusive because of it because of the anger and emotional dysregulation.
it is possible for someone to be abusive in some way due to almost any disorder, it all depends on the person and how bad certain symptoms are. emotional abuse is not rare. it is very common, actually, and it is perpetrated by people with mild-severe mental illnesses all the time. i say this as someone who has been emotionally abusive before, and who has BPD. people deny, deny, deny that BPD can cause abusive tendencies but people who have loved ones with BPD say otherwise, and people who have it who have severe symptoms say otherwise too.
you are not the only person with PMDD... you know that. so you can't speak for everyone. when a disorder includes mood swings and any kinds of emotional dysregulation or anger, it can bring about abusive behavior. it's not always beating people or severe verbal abuse. emotional abuse and all sorts of things like you saw in this video are forms of abuse that people don't really talk about that often.
i'm just saying... being depressed is not the only symptom of PMDD. and being depressed doesn't cancel out being abusive, either. that's all

In this specific case it’s actually disability abuse. POTS can be quite a serious physical condition, it’s crucial to manage symptoms so as not to cause avoidable life threatening complications. It’s an autonomic dysfunction disorder, meaning many bodily systems are dysfunctional.
Frequently needing to pee is an uncontrollable common symptom, leading to either wetting oneself or causing a uti if access to a toilet is denied. Vomiting and loss of bowel control are two other symptoms that require bathroom access at a moments notice.
Also, it’s crucial to keep up high fluid intake including electrolytes(many have to use saline drips), as well as high salt via regular snacks and meals. Denying these essentials when needed can lead to pots attacks, for some fainting is a common outcome and may prove dangerous as hitting one’s head during an attack can cause concussions or worse.
9 hours of chores too? Also dangerous for pots. Medical fatigue is also a symptom, made much worse by not pacing exertion and activities carefully.
This is disability abuse, and endangering her life. Unlike the numerous disabilities these two attention seekers have created for themselves and have demanded take priority. I acknowledge Pmdd is very real, however it’s not life endangering simply by cutting off water access. I also understand BPD is very serious, but again, an emotional meltdown doesn’t take precedence over someone needing an epipen in the midst of anaphylaxis or a diabetic needing insulin.
These two individuals, above all else, are sadistic narcissistic menaces and a danger to those around them. They’re living in a fantasy of their own creation and demanding everyone bow to their reality. ‘Spawn’ deserved so much better than this from life.

Meanwhile people who are ACTUALLY good at therapy or just normal human reflection and think/decision making are often better than trained ''job profession therapists'' Because they don't really know HOW to reflect on themselves and others they only know what the therapy book taught them and want the therapy badge from the state so they can feel good about having the rank to show people how mcuh they care about others.
Those who are good at talking and understanding are often the ones that stay quiet and live outside of drama and trouble so you don't see them often but everyone has atleast one of those in their life.

Hey you (whenever you get around to seeing this) I've been seeing a lot of people online talk about getting told that they don't deserve love so I will counteract that by saying that you deserve love. You deserve to be happy. You deserve to feel safe. You deserve to have friends that'll support you and stick by you no matter what. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

As a moderate to left leaning voter and someone who works in the medical field, saying that all therapists have to be left leaning (paraphrasing) is ridiculous. I’ve gone to several different mental health providers during my 54 years. For the most part I don’t know anything about their political views and it’s not necessary for me to know. I know one psychologist hated a certain politician because we were in the middle of the 2016 election and I mentioned that I was canvassing door to door on weekends with my sister for our congresswoman when he asked me if I was getting out of the house enough. This psychologist then let it slip how much he couldn’t stand someone in the presidential race. It struck me as odd, but I let it slide because it never came up again.
If a therapist can’t be professional enough to work with someone who has an opposing viewpoint then they aren’t worth their salt as a therapist. I didn’t go to therapy for someone to reinforce my beliefs, I went to therapy to get treatment for depression, anxiety and PTSD.
Just do your research before making an appointment with someone. Know what they specialize in. Therapist is a general term. There are some therapists who are Christian therapists, some are Children therapists, Grief Counselor’s (my dad works with families who’ve lost loved ones to cancer, he’s retired now). Just make sure you know they’re licensed and qualified to help you with your specific mental health needs.
Just as not everyone should be a parent, not everyone should be a therapist.
I stumbled across this upload and I am disgusted by this person. One of my best therapists was transgender. Poppy isn’t a representative of transgender therapists or the transgender community in general. She’s a very sick person masquerading as a therapist.

I’m happy for the younger generation. Growing up with POTS I was told that I was faking, that I need to suck it up, and that I just wasn’t trying in gym class even though I used to collapse. I am so glad to hear you saying that it is a real disorder that requires real accommodations.

I've heard COVID caused a lot more people to develop POTS, fingers crossed with more people suffering it leads to a cure/better treatment. It seems to be very under researched and not enough funding goes into treatments. Now that it's a bit more common, that may change. At least I hope it changes.

It's less about if someone has a disorder and more about if they're treating it or not. If someone was addicted to h and got clean, they'd be one of the better people to help others but if they're not clean, kinda hard to help someone with an issue that you yourself can't figure out how to solve.
