This is one of three lines in Seinfeld that feature direct quotes from drummer Buddy Rich during one of his tantrums towards his band.

Instead of showing the lame and generic animated "turn your phone off"message at the theatre before the movie starts, they should show this.
Theaters overuse the GEICO ads for silence your cell phones...
Maybe you should talk to the theatre managers about it. You could take each one outside and show them what it's like.

Let's give Opposite George credit for being a boss and yet still being a gentleman. He was willing to miss part of the movie by taking it outside and showing them what its like rather than showing them what its like inside the theatre and ruining more of the movie for the other patrons. Opposite George was a true hero!

Probably my favorite scene in the whole series - just kills me. And probably my favorite episode too - the scene where he chews out Steinbrenner is also epic.

I took my mom to the theater for her birthday a couple years ago and two teen girls were on their phones and talking the WHOLE time and my mom snapped like this and they didn't say a word the rest of the movie. Why go to a movie if you are just going to talk about stuff. Go somewhere and talk. The movie had just come out too.
It's easy when there are little girls. Try it on this kind of men.

Most dudes like this are punks and don't expect anybody to say shit. Though you have to factor in that one rare case where they're just nuts and call your bluff.
Just curious what you'd do if it's George screaming at you. He's obviously bluffing as we the audience know, but what do you think you'd do in real life? Roll the dice, or just be quiet? This is just a curious question on my part. Not trying to insinuate anything but you bring up an interesting sociological quandry.
@@bernielomax4702 It definitely is. Personally I'd be quiet but if I was drunk or otherwise intoxicated, since intoxication brings out a very aggressive side of my personality (especially if I feel I'm being bullied, or others I being bullied), I can really lose my head and get extremely angry.
But it depends. You can usually assess people from the way they look and speak. The lingo, various aspects of their tones of speech and so on.
I personally grew up and went to school in basically a ghetto of my country and you had to be very careful.
For instance you could look someone in the eyes and they take that as this weird kind of challenge. Plenty of lads have been stabbed up in the area because of this weird "are you fuckin' lookin' at me cunt ?" Or "what are you lookin' at cunt ?" mentality.
I once looked at someone in the supermarket and they went nuts. I've seen the craziest shit on the trains in my area too.
So in my town I probably would back down.
But in a posh area and if I was drunk I'd absolutely fight, especially if I felt disrespected or like they were disrespecting my girl.

I'm 6'2", north of 200 lbs. and fairly strong, and people apologize if they bump into me (rarely happens, but handful of times) but I just laugh it off. Always the presumption that if you're taller/bigger you have a hair-trigger for violence, which couldn't be further from the truth for me, but I definitely would say something if people were being this obnoxious, but that has yet to happen.
