I added some orange elastic cord with a squeeze lock to those mystery buckles on the front in an "X" pattern to hold my sit pad and light jacket. I don't like to use that "Y" buckle for stuff because it hinders getting inside the main bag too much.
Hi Tim....I use the Kumo 36 as my "Super Light" 🤔pack and the Granite Gear Crown 2-60 as my winter/extended trip pack. A couple days ago I was visiting my local expensive cutting edge outfitters and pulled the HL South West off the rack. I just wanted to say that it did not look that substantial but when I opened the roll top it was cavernous....and I noticed it had the frame bars. I was also impressed with how durable and tough the mesh outer pocket felt...so yeah...I can see why you picked it......Im fascinated with the carbon fiber stuff but I know the packs I have will last me years. I dont know why I am telling you all of this I just wanted to say that is really a great pack......!!!!
I have kinda decided that I am not totally sold on the Kumo. I have a Zimmerbuilt pack that I will keep for superlight trips. It's the blue on I show. The material is Cuban Fiber like the SWest but thinner.
Enjoyed the video!….Love my HMG SW 2400! Bought it used in excellent, and I mean excellent condition for $115…and mine says “hand built, Maine USA”….they used to be made here in the US
Nice new pack. And iron mountain is a great hike. I haven’t done that one in a while.

That's a good idea.

Lucky!!
Whata deal.
This video made my day😅😅❤
Haha. I'm glad! Happy hiking!
Hey howdy Tim!
So is this bag 40 liters with a few rolls or is it 40 all unrolled?
Appreciate the help!
I'm gonna say it's 40 rolled down a few times. The other bag in that video, the blue one, is also 40, and it's a bit smaller.
