    The video is clear and precise, and shows us perfectly the replacement of these brake calipers 👌, great ! But I have a question 🤔, do these mechanical disc brake calipers come with pads included ?

    Does its cable tensioner barrel works ? In my case i found it kind of fixed.

    I saw this video and decided to replace it.
    My d11 brake noise is driving me crazy.
    Is it definitely something you would recommend?
    Then I will replace it with BR-M375 soon.
    thank you so much for the video

      Replacing is definitely a thing I would recommend. The BR-M375 is the one I chose because of availability and price where I live. It’s silent and affordable. And I can get plenty replacement pads.
      If you live in a country that can get HB100 xtech calipers. Than you should go for that. They are semi-hydraulic, cheap and good from what I hear. But I simply could not buy them for an honest price. So getting replacement pads etc would be hard for me as well.

      @@HomeLeHat HB100 xtech is not available in Korea either. I have to place an overseas order.
      So I decided on BR-M375. This product is also easily available in Korea.
      Thank you.

    I know the Shimano offers a more efficient pad material but is that the main reason why you switched?

    • @HomeLeHat
      @HomeLeHat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No more squeaking noise. The original was just horrible. And in my country I can get the Shimano parts like brake-pads much easier than the round thingies of the original.

    You should have cut the silver end off the outer cable so it sits into the adjustment barrel better. The way you’ve done it will either force its way in bit by bit 1 making hard to replace and 2 make the brake feel looser after a while or the silver end will just keep moving about on top of the barrel giving inconsistent brake power and eventually cause damage to the internal cable

      Great observation! That is exactly what I did after a few weeks. Without the end cap the cable slide nicely into the barrel. It also helps that the cable has an inner metal liner so it’s sturdy enough without the end cap.

    Also fits Fiido m1 pro?

    • @HomeLeHat
      @HomeLeHat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably yes. The M1 Pro should have the same size disc brakes.

    Just did that to my Fiido! God the stock brakes were awful. Video soon.

      Absolutely worth it. Did you go for hydraulic?

    • @elektrotvtech
      @elektrotvtech ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HomeLeHat I did not, I went for the DUAL Piston mechanical. They work great, no squeak, no pulsating, and good stopping. I was going to try the semi hydraulics, but changed my mind to keep it simple.

      That sounds like a solid upgrade. And yes, everything is better than the original brakes. I was scaring pedestrians when gently breaking.
