- In this video, I show you how to authenticate a Celine Classic Box Bag. Unfortunately, there are many replicas of this bag on the preloved market. I recently got mine authenticated by Lollipuff and wanted to share what I learned. Hope it's helpful.

Hi, for the date stamp inside the zip, may I know which side of the leather is the date stamp on? Is it on the leather closer to the centre of the bag, or the leather closer to the back of the bag?

Omg thak you for this! I saw someone selling the camel color bag for a reasonable price. We met so I can look at it. The lady was very nice, super chic and drove an expensive car. She was sure it’s original even though she bought it in Vestiaire collective. She apparently bought it for much more than she’s selling it for. I immediately saw it’s fake and said thank you I’ll think about it. I didn’t have the heart to tell her that it’s actually fake. Another example that you really shouldn’t easily trust pre loved resale platforms.
The clasp is loose my mind. Can you show the screws again? Idk if it fell or needs to be tighten
Thanks you for the useful and informative video as usual. I just got mine in the same size from VC but in lizard leather. It’s the old version from Phoebe philo period. The position of the brand stamp in the exotic leather is inside the bag, together with made in Italy, a bit different from the normal leather one. I also noticed the different style of the back stitch, where two parts of leathers meet each other (I don’t know how to explain but yours doesn’t have). The stitchi of the old version is different from the current version on the website.

Hi! Thanks for this review. Can I ask hiw do you find a metal hardware on a strap? Heard its digging into skin and demages clothing as its that sharp. This is why I haven’t bought this model, I went for other ones from Celine. I love their craftsmanship and quality of leathers. I love the box bags, but that hardware needs to be ‘rounded’ so it stops hurting as its not removable.
It’s quite sharp so I keep it down towards the bottom of the strap and it stays out of the way. So far it hasn’t caused any damage to my clothes or my skin. 😉

this video is making me that much more excited by the fact that i might have actually thrifted an authentic celine bag for $400! aye what??!! The bag is in great condition except for tarnishing on the hardware. I think I will go to the Celine store and get their opinion as well as a solution for the hardware, if any...

Hi, would like to ask if you can double-check the ¨Made ¨in¨ Italy ¨ part, please? Is the ïn¨really in capital letter or in small "i"?
Mines is small “i”, first look it looks like capital but upon closer inspection it’s small.
I have had my preloved Celine bag authenticated with lollipuff and they stated it authentic. And it has a small "i".

How are you reducing the inside damage ( rubbing) from the straps?
There is no rubbing or damage. Not sure what you mean.
on the inside ...where the straps come through the bag...I am getting rubbing damaged on both sides...thats on all of my box bags
@@mouniqueism oh wow! I’m not having that problem at all. The little sharp square pieces on the strap right? I keep them pushed down to the bottom of the strap but they’re still outside the bag so no wear or tear on the leather. Hope this helps.

@@mouniqueism Not sure if you have found the solution, but sticking blister patches will help. I bought transparent patches that look like jello from a budget store called Daiso. Probably you might find similar on Amazon.

Lollipuff said my box is authentic but Authentic First said it’s fake. So confused
Love it, but I’m always so afraid videos like this make it a lot easier for counterfeiters to make better replica’s. Which it would remain a bit of a secret how to authenticate to make it harder to make these super fakes
From what I understand, “super fake” makers actually purchase the real item to study the details before they copy them.

@@kellydekesel7492 I agree, it’s terrible. It’s one thing to sell an obvious dupe to someone who wants an affordable alternative, it’s entirely different when passing on a fake as real and scamming buyers. 😔
