Everyone who complains about anti when they see Luka win in German League, remember this comment. Good players can beat it, it's more of a disadvantage than an advantage.
Well. Gauzy qt his best lost with him a year ago. I believe all depends of the momentom of each. If the antispin player is on hia day he gets yo control any offensive player's mind.
Professional players are able to spot holes in defense even in irregular setups like anti or pips, so it becomes a game where the player with the weird setup can't rely on their anti/pips side. It becomes a liability at higher levels, to the point where you have to actually be really skillful with the setup.
4:13 crazily, that shot is possible to recover by taking another swing at it. It makes me think about practicing being able to adapt to missing dropshots-type shots aswell
I love how sometimes Mladenovic gets a perfect ball to be easily killed with his forehand - and he still blocks it with anti because he knows he has no forehand to speak of. Incredible.
Amongst about a billion people playing table tennis, he's in the top 0.01 percent. His forehand is really nice, ofc not as Good as a pure attacker But he's most likely nervous playing vs gauzy Idk why people hate on material players just cuz u can't handle it on your low ELO games
@@timlpld9784 well it isnt about crying because youre not good enough to understand the material. But more that material changes the flow of the game in a bad way, making it less fun to play (unless you play a pure defender). Also material closes skill gaps and it is easier to get to a certain level with material than with smooth rubbers. IMO its not about ELO more about the effort you need to put in and how the points are affected by it.
@@bau7917 yes, that's true, I play LP myself and some enemies just cannot play against it so I win for free, but once I play really good players, it can become easy to loose because of the pimples... The same thing applies to modern defenders like filus then, no? The plays aggressive forehand and chops his BH, so its a change of pace too

Who is the highest ranked player using anti or long pips and playing with a similar style as Luka ( close to the table) in the history of table tennis ? Any ideas ? Thanks
Mima Ito (short pips). Mattias Falck (short pips). Wang Zengyi (short pips). Panagiotis Gionis (long pips). Joo Sae Yuuk (long pips, though he can play far from the table). Recently, the Mukharjee's from India made a hit after beat China players. They used anti power/long or medium pips combination and short pips and inverted combination. Almost forget: Manika Batra (long pips)..
Change my mind but isnt this form of play comparable to someone like filus? Hes a modern defender but close to the table Noone hates on decenders so stop hating him for 0
Video is jerky because every 5 frames there is a repeated frame. Please do not re-sample a lower frame rate video: table tennis is fast and needs max frame rate to be watchable.
Rubber can help you until certain level then its all lot individual skill!! Luka is over dependant on his rubber to win point which are basically waiting for opponent to make mistake but at this level its different!!
i hate when someone with very limited brain capabilities equals all people who use long pimples, because it can be used in a different ways. As a classic defender, I am not pleased to hear this bullshit
Simon with a lot of Touch, Luka played very well but he has to improve his forehand technique
forehand wasnt that bad i think, but he made more errors with his antispin block than usual
Great match, Simon is coming back, he has a very good level and is nice to watch!
Luka seems like a nightmare to play against but anti-spin just isn’t gonna cut it at that level unless he really works on his offensive game too.

He has won against gauzy before

Brawo Simon - tak trzymaj💪👊👍
Clearly see that Simon has really knuckled down to learn to counter this style since he’s defeat.

Gauzy obviously studied video clips of Mladenovic and figured out the best way to play against anti-spin. Bravo.
la revanche du match de bundesliga
exactly
C’est quand même pas terrible, il arrive pas à enchaîner deux tops sur l’anti. Quand on voit ce que fait Kallberg ça laisse rêveur
4:16 judge face best part haahaa

Gauzy is a master of spin!
Mr Simon Gauzy 🇲🇫🏓❤
Simon is very talented
Luka's technique feels so unnatural compared to "standard" table tennis. I wonder where people learn this
Who is the highest ranked player using anti or long pips and playing with a similar style as Luka ( close to the table) in the history of table tennis ? Any ideas ? Thanks
Carl Prean
Luka Mladenovic, number 2 is marcus johansson from Sweden. Carl Prean played long pips not anti-spin.

So fun to see all the hates about his equipment 😂
Congratulations to the French🎉

This is revenge, Luka won last time they met in bundesliga.
не знал, что Кайл Макконахи играет в настольный теннис?!
Like!!!!
Every time I watch Luka I can't figure out whether he has a day job or simply needs to get one.
1:40
😂
Luka was missing out on forehand consistency
Есть в Европе одна кракозябра и зовут её Лука Младенович. 😂
who knows model of Gauzy shoes?)

Халява тыкательная, не прошла в этот раз, даже наколки на ноге не помогли))). Абсолютно бесперспективно особенно с игроками первой двадцатки)))
World's most horrible rubber. Well done Simon, great care with each shot but tough!
nah, the best
anti spin kid
Only one camera angle is bad. Learn from Ljubljanka
I hate long pips, it's used by people with limited talent.
he doesnt have long pips
Play against him and you will see if he hasn't talent 😅

People who lose against it have even less talent.
P.S.: Luka doesn't even play pips, he plays anti
Such a comment shows the only thing limited is your understanding of the the game
