Great movie. The courage of the village to listen to the voice of truth and rise up, the choice of Juanita, to realize the lives of her village were more important than her own, and the strength and courage Manuel had, to stand in the priest’s stead, and lead the people against the pirates was quite a sight to see, and to see the pirate devils, succumb to the wrath of the villagers, is truly the ending of a good village’s story.
The captain is ready for a Fasnet-party. The landscape is very nice. Without money to make a pirate film or get enough able actors it is a strange project. Chapeau!
The most lausy movie ever seen. Colours, costumes, dialogs, screen play....simply outstanding bad. 😮
This is the strangest pirate movie I have seen. But I still recommend it, just because it's worth watching.

LOL, I like Howard the beginning when they're standing on top of the high cliff you can hear the wind just howling, but there's not even a hair moving on anyone's head much less from clothing blowing or anyting. 😅

A little echo in the voice track, but all in all pretty cool. It's rare for a film of this date to record the singing and guitar live, but then the woman's screams in the church were obviously dubbed (I guess the actress couldn't do the voice for it) Props to the chick who sang it live, she did a good job
