My buddy bought this the kit 20-60 lens.. he already has a z8 with the 180-600 for wildlife.. he chose the lumix thinking it would be nice 2nd camera for landscape videos and shots thanks to all the social media hype around the camera, although it was a totally different ecosystem to what he was already using.. he literally messages me everyday complaining about the camera and how he should've just gone for an APSC from sony or canon or nikons zf.. Sorry but there's just so much hype around this camera and it's surely not living upto the hype..
It took me a lot of time to get in to a flow with my first Lumix camera. Lumix does not provide quick fixes for newbies...its eco system is more tuned towards pro users. It does not work in just 'pick up and shoot style'. Spending some good amount of time to understand its workflow will help in unlocking its fullest potential. It works for some and may not work for some others.
@@sajicine Is it better than its competitors? Absolutely not.. yet it's being hyped. Hell it's not even better than other lumixes in a similar range.. I am lumix user by the way and that's why my friend messages me and he bought his camera after consulting me. And just for context my friend has been shooting with canons and nikons for over 20 years. That's enough time for anyone to easily adapt to any new ecosystem.
I just shared my personal experience. Here is the thing brother...the new digital camera systems are ever evolving. There is a whole new level of unlearning that needs to happen from the user's end with every new camera from each brand...Digital evolution in mirrorless systems in barely 10 years old. 20 years ago, its the film camera largely at use. Even now things are evolving very rapidly and there is a whole lot of confusion among brands itself as to where to hit next. In this context...we all need to look at each product from the perspective of a new born baby. If we look at it with the experience from 20 years, we will be blinding ourselves from new possibilities and eco systems. Yours is a very genuine comment unlike most of such others. Thats the very reason I replied in irs first place. With due respect to your comment, I just presented my logic and perspective. Neither am I trying to defend lumix nor trying to prove you wrong ...but I am presenting my logic towards Lumix. I transitioned from a hardcore blackmagic workflow to a lumix one for general purpose. I had my reasons. This worked for me to a great deal for general purpose in the current volume market.
@@sajicineyes, I agree that you are just presenting your thoughts.. however, I've felt 90% of people giving opinions about the s9 are trivialising some of the issues the camera has and not really comparing it to other cameras from its price range. That why I said, it's being hyped up a lot.
@@ananthapadmanabhan8795 what is it being hyped about ? it has solid features for the price range comparing to competitors . your friend has a bad learning curve
S9 200 mbps bitrate ! Does that affect much in color grading comparing to much writespeed in s5iix ?
Nice good to know lumix 👍
