My fastest 100 breast in college was a 1:01.89, it broke the record at the U.S. Naval Academy, until 2008. If Cody had swam at USNA, the record would still be standing. Keep up the great work Cody!!!

The emergence of the ISL has made me reflect on why sports like swimming or track and field -- which was once very popular -- have never achieved success in the same way that football of both kinds, basketball, or baseball have enjoyed for many years. All I've come up with is that swimming is not a game that can unfold over time. But there are "game" sports that have not achieved such popularity. And why racing is less "interesting" to a large audience than, say, basketball, I can't tell you, especially when the swimming events are so popular during Olympic competitions. Your thoughts, Mr. Miller?
Theyre taking strides. In my opinion, they need to find a format that appeals to the american audience. Possibly a duel-meet format keeping it very fast paced. The marketing (or lack there of) was tough to watch unfold. They need to do more to promote and inform within the sport. But it is very early.

2 years late but it’s so wild seeing Zach Apple in these. I went to auburn with him. Didn’t know him but we had a chemistry class together and all I remember was he was like 11 feet tall and I guess auburn makes freshmen dye their hair bleach blonde and he had that going too. Didn’t see him after that until the Olympics.

What’s a good racing temp
TH-cam Xx-zxnq3s_YT On ps4 That can vary a bit by the swimmer. I swam from when I was 6 trough college. For me, my favorite racing temps were between 72 and 74 degrees Fahrenheit. However I’ve had teammates that like it in the 60s (they’re crazy). In general though, pool racing temps are less than 78 degrees at championship meets.
The colder the better. When I swam at USNA from '98-'02, the pool had to be in the 60s. It felt good racing in it though, especially during the sprints, getting in the pool was an Antarctic hell.

Swimmers are so nice. Cody says ur team’s going down as a joke and then he says “just kidding sorry.” Like swimmers are nothing like basketball players or hockey players. And that’s cuz swimmers know how hard other swimmers work and they respect it. Not a lot of sports require as much work as swimming does
