I tell people all of the time, If you can look at you car and it makes you smile, that's your car.
Doesn't matter if it's new or old. I have 2 cars and I do this with them both. One is an 85' Trans AM, the other is a 92' 300ZX, I look back at them all of the time, you'd think I was a fighter pilot looking them over everyday.

Good. But a true car guy would never park the back of his car that close to another one in a parallel parking situation. Least I wouldn't.
Nothing wrong with it if there's no contact and if you didn't bump the other car to get that close. A true car guy knows his car's corners and has good enough spatial awareness to park much tighter than a non car guy.
This is also a city vs. non-city thing. In most major cities your choices are either park with literally a couple inches of clearance, or don't park.

we had a loner car from the dealer once, a 2012 Prius while ours was in the shop. It was very cool in one way, it resembled a futuristic spaceship on the inside and out and had all these super cool displays on the inside. But as a driver, I would absolutely hate it. Way too much going on with too many distractions. I wondered if Toyota did that in an attempt to distract the driver from what a boring car it is to drive. We were so happy to get our 2002 V6 Camry back!
