I hope the physical from LRG is still happening. It was announced for ps5 and Xbox series x. I really want it. But this is awesome news that hi fi rush has been saved. Fantastic news

@@geekgamingnetwork958 Nah they'll most likely be milking TANGO contents with PUBG crossovers for now. Until they can find someone to replace Mikami, I doubt there'll be any new IPs soon. KRAFTON is not my ideal studio but at least TANGO is still around. Would've been better if they got full independence like Toys for Bob, but they lack a CEO to manage and oversee them.
Just hope Krafton doesn't start having them develop online multiplayer games. Tango is known for their amazing single player games.
Outside of PUBG mostly all of their games are Single player

I was a loyal xbox player from 2010 (X360) to 2023 (Series S). Then, I gave up and I bought a PS5. MS is lying and not delivering anything ... I don't want XBOX to fail because we need competitors to keep the prices balanced, but Microsoft is loosing the battle so hard that I am sad for them at this point
Glad to see Tango Gameworks' staff got their jobs back. Hope their time w/Krafton is good. My only worry is, if the HiFi Rush ip is owned by someone else & Krafton goes bankrupt, do they end up delisting the game from online stores? Hope not!

Because it didn't sell that well. It's not the type of game that could sell well this day and age, to be honest.

@@Ghostlynotme445 I'm not saying it's not a good game. But early 2000's cartoons is not an art style that appeals to modern kids. And the crowd that this does appeal to is pretty small. Many of them barely play games if at all right now (because of family, work, etc) and most have switched to games that are easier to play. A game like this would've likely gotten decent sales like 15 years ago in the XBox 360/PS3 era, but not this day and age.
Just look at The Wonderful 101. First released back in 2013 and later rereleased for other platforms and enhanced. It's a really fantastic game, but that doesn't reflect in either its sales or reviews. Even 2013 was already past the era for a game like this to become a success.

Microsoft should be banned from buying game developers. I haven't seen a single time where they bought a developer and something good came out of it. Rare being the biggest example.

I don't know who the hell Krafton even is, so I don't really know what to think about this news. I am happy for the team of Tango GameWorks though, since this news obviously means that their layoffs are now reversed. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the true results of this will be for gaming as a whole... good, bad or meaningless, it could probably go either way.
They are responsible for developing PUBG and layoffs are not reversed. Krafton has bought Tango, but their still going to be reorganizing and that always means there will be some that will not have a job when it's all said and done.
Figured tango would be sold. Perhaps id software as well and etc.

Only negative is that they couldn't aqauire thier entire catalog. It really sucks that we will probably never see TEW3 or GWT2.
TEW is a masterpiece of a franchise, but it's ending at part two. Meanwhile GWT although not outstanding, had a ton of potential with the sequel. Saddly you both of those IPs will likely rot with Microsoft.

In the early days of the pandemic I ended up with 2 series s and 1 series x . It was convenient to have them spread across my house I played them for hours. Now in 2024 I just dust them nothing to play. I don’t even touch my ps5s.

When it comes to game studios if they make money grab game that are all terrible you don't care if they shut down. The Wii had plenty of money grab studios that made games and all had terrible reviews and nobody bought the games. Those studios you feel bad for the people working there that loose their jobs but if they need more time to hone their skills to make better games and get with a better studio it is worth them training to get a better job.

So first you guys get mad that Microsoft wants to close Tango and a couple others under Bethesda because all Microsoft needs is for Bethesda to be all about Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Doom. Then you guys get mad that instead of just closing down Tango. They sell them off to keep them up and running.

When I heard the studio skipped making Evil Within 3 over Hi-Fi rush I could see why MS fired the studio. HI-Fi Rush wasn’t marketable and gave MS zero lift. The game ended up being good but MS needed a Resident Evil type of game they could have market to the masses. Instead they just shadow dropped the game and were like yippee here you go everyone haha.

Arkane and Tango were both bs. Tango NEVER made a flawed game. Will Krafton get the rights to "Ghostwire" too? Krafton may be owned by Tencent.
Arkane didn't deserve what they got either as "Redfall" was forced by MS and if not forced, at the very least rushed. They didn't deserve that either. All because those at the top are incompetents who don't know video games, they are just corporate suits.
Redfall was Zenimax’s fault. The project was having major issues before MS purchase them. They had to release since the project was basically a money and talent blackhole.

The evil within and tokyo flopped. Sony, epic games and amazon gave it away for free because no one bought it.
@@oo--7714 That’s part of the main reason why. Those three games weren’t exactly cheap and that whole Sony exclusivity did hurt sales.
Also, Xbox’s japanese ambitions are mostly non existent.
