NC Red Wolf

This year I experienced a lot of “firsts” and the Red Wolf was the highlight. Also, I consider myself very fortunate to have had this encountered. This particular wolf is listed as a critically endangered species and as of Sept 2024 on 16 are known to be in the wild. Those 16 make their home in eastern NC near the Outer Banks.
