My wife is Thai. We were together and married in Thailand for 7 years. We moved to the USA in 2014. We both went to work. She now has a vested state pension in the USA. We moved back to Thailand in july of 2024. She has dual citizenship and more options than before our move. There is a 25 year age gap.
Palm, Thank you so ,much for your honesty. I am contemplating bringing a Thai Women back to my Home in Los Angeles California. I known her 13 years , 555 I have lived in Phuket Thailand since 2011. Relationships in All cultures need a lot of Compassion and Understanding. Namaste.... Sawasdeekhrap ... HG
I came to Thailand to live in Thailand. I always ask if they want to move to another country. If they say yes, I say goodbye. I'm about to turn 60, I don't date less than 40. A younger woman would want kids, I don't. I also think about how I will die while she is still young and be alone again.
Dear Ling noi, thank you for these new insights. What a masterminds idea: First to know someone, only then get married 😮. Now I know what I've made wrong all the years... However, once made all the mistakes you list up the motto is like out of the ego shooter of 1993 - the only way out is through 😢. Take a look at your ppal and enjoy your day and new week. See you, Santa K!
Thank you for your thoughtful message! It's never too late to learn from past experiences, and I’m glad the insights helped. We all go through our own journey, and sometimes the best lessons come from mistakes. I hope you enjoy your day and week as well! 😊🙏
My Thai gf is 61 and I am 72 so age gap is not too much. I don't plan to bring her to USA long term but tourist visa is very hard to get for her. If we marry then it will be easier. I have kids and grandkids so I will not move to Thailand fulltime . I trust her but I have read that Thailand ranks very high in infidelity and gik's are common. I am surprised that cheating is so common in a Buddhist culture where precept #3 prohibits sexual misconduct.
Yes that's what they do! i Traveled to South America and Central America for many years and seen this happen to many many guys. I would try to tell them do not do this and they never listened, the hardest thing is a girl is the CULTURE shock! LOL The US is not what they think it is, it is very hard and people here are not Nice! Another Big thing is when you take a girl away from there Culture there Family and there Food that they are used to. I seen this first hand and i never knew a relationship that when a guy brings a girl from another country to the U.S. it NEVER Ever works! Don't do this Guys!!!!! Thanks Palm for videos 😊😊
Thanks for sharing your experiences and advice! Cultural differences and homesickness are definitely real challenges in these situations. I'm glad you enjoy my videos, appreciate your support! 😊
I'm 33 years old from Sweden. I've tried dating a girl from Songkhla, but it ended up with just trying to extract money from me. I'm thinking about going to Hua Hin in 2025, where can I go to not find the golddiggers?
Hi. If you have identified that you were scammed into paying money, and you want to prohibit anything like that in the future, if you are duty bound to pay, ask for a financial agreement to be drafted with a specified date for repayment & interest on the principal. Most people will never come back. If you end up giving money to your loved one, just think of it as a gift, because you won't get it back despite an agreement. Secondly, there's no herd of perfect women to choose from in any city, you have to find the right person with patience & caution.
The only fear i would have would be she would ask my family and friends for money. Thais dont seem to lose any face when it comes to asking for money. Yet they will quickly treat you like a soi dog and lose face if the answer is no. Lol .
Everything is case by case, some relationships last, others don't and it's not just men that fall into marriage scams. Yesterday I read an article about a Swedish woman who has already brought three husbands from The Gambia and each one has disappeared into thin air as soon as they got their permanent residence permit. Omfg 😂
No i will not bring them, they will get too westernized, not good. It seems to me they all want a ticket paid or holiday paid, but dont want to live there either, as they miss thai food, 7/11, family, mom, sisters, too cold in winter, miss the motorbike, grab whatever to move and walk in the heat, miss aircon, miss beaches and so on...
Please don't begin with that attempt, once you oblige, the relatives from periphery will approach & you will be expected to sort out things for everyone. It won't go well from there. If they ask you for money, just say that the economy is in a bad shape & you are struggling yourself too. Drives away the parasites from your relationship. Be cautious with money & give away what you can afford to lose, not expecting anything in return.
If you have an age gap foreign marriage, you have to give her an objective purpose to her life beyond the marriage. Ideally, you need to put her to work for you in the form of a business, having children, etc. Idol hands are the devil's workshop.
Por isso eu considero uma boa diferença uns 15 anos. Claro, isso não é uma regra rígida, mas uma diferença de 31 anos e grande chance que isso não vai dar certo. Mas novamente não é regra.
Half of the marriages in the United States end up in divorce anyway, so taking a chance with bringing your Thai wife back to the United States might not be such a bad idea as long as you trust her. What I would say is don't feel pressured to do anything you are not able or willing to do. Remember the passage of time is your friend because it will reveal many things good and bad about your partner.
I think it would be safe to expect the unexpected or in this case the expected. Meaning if she leaves you while in your home country say for a better life or someone got in her ear and she ran off with that person. Would also be best to lay down some joint stipulations with a good lawyer that way if she does leave you, youd have a good chance on not providing anything to her since she's the one who left and the worst thing you'll be left with is a heart ache and not a financial drain. Lastly i would say always keep receipts.
I have been married to a Thai and a Filipino both marriages failed after bringing them to the United States. Never bring them home
@jeffviar7928 that sucks sorry to hear that. Makes sense why majority choose to stay in the wife's country.
Thanks man i assumed that too. Its not the woman its the community
Thai women are not marriage material
USA ruins everybody who moves there. I hope americans stay in usa.
When you stay in a particular country for too long you tend to adopt the way of life and it changes you.
This is some of the best inter-cultural relationship advice I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!

I think if you find a woman who can pay for herself and support her family on her own, then you may be safer, but I don't know for sure!

Ja är också från Sverige. vill åka dit i slutet på Mars, ska vi åka dit tsm? :D
@@emilsolli6804 Lite tidigt med mars för min del. Tänkte snarare sent september/oktober så man har fått semesterdagar tillgod.

You're absolutely right, every relationship is unique, and scams can go both ways.
4:10 2-3-4 jobs a day means this whole scenario is fake..

So as an Englishman i have to pay for my wife's parents too?
English men should pay for the rest of the world. Please, come back in the EU. 😊

Green screen complete with her shadow??? Really??? I live in Hua Hin and there's stretches of beach that do look like that.
