Hallo Marie. This instrument is called viololyra and it is a combination of cretan lyra, medieval vielle and violin. It was manufactured by Ralf Eickmeier, who lives in Thessaloniki.
what is the name of the fiddle like instrument? My father( from Sligo) played the fiddle, by ear, of course and it is fascinating to see our music being played with this instrument. His favourites were Saddle the Pony and Kid on the mountain and I would so love to hear you play these tunes.
