I´m really connecting with this song. Transports me right back to when I was a young closeted gay teen in a sexual ”relationship” with my best friend at that time that was straight. For him it was just some sexual experimentation, for me it was much more: he was my first love. It all ended when he started dating and having sex with girls leaving me heartbroken. Even now, in my 30s, I can still look back at that time and somewhat romanticize it when I´m being nostalgic and in a lonely period. So many lines in this song describe exactly what we had perfectly.

I'm a country fan . a quote on quote mans man . had a dad daughter day (she is 19 moved out ) we order pizza and were going to watch movies . well my daughter wanted to watch a show called euphoria. Wasn't my first pick but its my daughter said I said ok . a scene with drunk driving and what not was not my scene for my daughter to see lol but I loved it and the artist. From my workouts till my daily life peck has been there love it . his style his voice . this country in so many ways .

the more i learn about him the more i love. he was in a punk band now country. alot like the black lips. and his father did sound for ac/dc. and i performed highway to hell in drag back in the 90s. hilarious. im old enough to be his dad. lol im so glad people like him can be like he is. and do their art. without the hate. makes me feel , all the protesting and acting up for gay rights wasnt in vain.

Orville Peck is a true original. His influences are a beautiful meld of many greats. He doesn't take from one, he borrows from many and creates his own sound, look and cool vibe. In a world where pretty much everything has been heard or seen Orville has created something completely new and extremely innovative. "Turn to hate" is outstanding... YeeHaw
This voice is not what I expect EVERY TIME I click on his videos.like I know it's coming, I know what he sounds like, but then he starts and I'm blown away more and more every time. His sound is NOT today's sound. He takes it back to country western and mixes in little hints of icons influence here and there. I get chills every time.
