Did you know that Vincent Price was a chef. He had an RV outfitted as a gourmet kitchen. He would drive along the California coast with friends until they found the perfect spot. He and Mary would cook a fabulous meal and they would all set and eat watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean.
Oh Wow! What an awesome book collection! One of the things I love about your channel is, you actually cook recipes from these cookbooks. 😁 I will admit I have cookbooks that I love to look through but haven't actually cooked a recipe from them. 🤭 When my daughter was very young, she could not understand why I would read a cookbook like it was a novel. There were some wonderful cooks in my family, and I have special memories sharing recipes with them. Most of them are gone now but I still have those handwritten recipes to treasure. Now about YOUR cookbooks. I'm very interested in the Blueberry Hill cookbook series. Those look so interesting.
Thank you! And I love to read cookbooks! I'm sure your daughter appreciated the really good food you cooked after reading those cookbooks! I'm so glad you chose the Blueberry Hill cookbooks to review. They're so cute and interesting! I can't wait to test the one that uses the leftovers to make different meals.
I will probably be the odd duck. I would like to see something from the green vegetarian cookbook. I couldn't decide from the others until you said the first printing was 1968. I was born that year. But to be honest I would be ecstatic for any of them. Guess I'm of no help at all. Sorry.
Oh my gosh so many to choose from❤! It is so hard to pick just one !!!! I have several requests: 1. Farm Journal's Country Cookbook 2. BH&G's Famous Food from Favorite Places 3. Hawaii Cookbook 4. Westinghouse Cookbook 5. CAI's Quick Dishes For Women in a Hurry. I ❤❤❤your channel! Thanks so much for putting together these fabulous videos!!
So much fun seeing all the great finds in your cookbook collection. I would especially love if you could do The Jean Dalrymple's Pinnafore Farm Cookbook, The New Laurels Kitchen Cookbook and The North Country Cabin Cooking Cookbook as well as some of the cute little camping pamphlets you showed at the beginning like Cooking Outdoors from Frenchs and The Better Homes & Gardens Camp Cooking Treats booklet. My mom had a bunch of those little booklets she sent away for from many different companies and they had some of our family's favorite recipes in them❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Thank you and I'll add those cookbooks to the list! I just love little pamphlets. I wish companies would do that again! I sent away for a pamphlet advertised by one company but it's been many, many months and I haven't heard back. I'm pretty sure I lost my dollar and envelope!
We lived in Pacific Grove, Ca about a half an hour around the bay from Gilroy for 21 years! We loved it there, we've been in Oregon now for 4. Gilroy always seems to smell like garlic 😂 it's great! Since we moved up North I've been growing my own garlic and it's wonderful! I'm getting ready to harvest 3 beds in a few weeks ❤🧄🧄🧄🧄🧄🧄🧄 I would love to see your garlic cookbook featured!
Wow! 3 beds of garlic is such a wonderful thing to have!! And I will definitely break out those garlic cookbooks. I think a whole months worth of videos is in order since you've grown so much wonderful garlic and I've bought so many garlic cookbooks!!
I'm a little late in watching your bookshelf tours and wanted to tell you that I was so happy to see that Watkins almanac. I immediately went to Ebay and got me a copy. I had no idea this book even existed and I have a special place in my heart for Watkins since my grandfather sold it door-to-door back in the 40s (he was also a Fuller Brush salesman). My grandmother used their liniment religiously and more than once subjected me to the godawful looking Petro-Carbo salve. It didn't smell bad though and always sped up the healing process. It just looked like tar, lol.
Aren't those little watkins books so cute?! I just love them! I'm glad you were able to find a copy. And that's so interesting about your grandfather. Your grandmother buying the salve reminded me of my grandmother going to all the church ladies Tupperware parties. She had so many!! And still used them decades later. We finally made her part with some when she had to downsize to an apartment!
@@ACookbookCollector My sister hoards plastic containers like that! Every time I go visit, another avalanche comes flying out of her cupboards even though I rid them out and reorganize every time I'm there! So funny.
I would love to see a review of the Rosicrucian vegetarian cookbook. I really enjoyed your cookbook tour. I am also a cookbook collector and own several of the same books that you showed. So much fun!
Wow your cookbook collection is impressive. I thought I had a lot but not as many as you. I am fairly new to your channel and think you do a great job sharing all your recipes. I also have the Mandys salad book and the side dish bible cookbook. So I will vote for those. I get so overwhelmed when I pick up the side dish bible book cause there are so many recipes in there that I do not know which one to try. I also liked you church cookbook. Thanks for sharing it all. I also just subscribed to your channel.
Thank you so much for subscribing and watching! And I will definitely add those cookbooks to the review list! I have a feeling that church cookbook is going to be very good!
I would love to see you make some recipes from the New Age Vegetarian cookbook. The Farm Journal’s Country cookbook looks great- and was that a picture of a spumoni layer cake?? I love your channel and especially loved your video on The Farm Vegetarian Cookbook- which was my first cookbook and has been a long-standing favorite! ❤
Don't forget to comment below which cookbooks you would like to see reviewed on the channel!!
I would love to see the cast-iron skillet cookbook. The photographs are wonderful.
Yes! I will add it to the list!!
I'm looking forward to your review of the Cooking with tea cookbook!

That sounds so wonderful! It's something I would love to do! What a lovely life to have with such good food and kind friends!

The tofu cookbooks look good to explore and/or anything vegan, pls!
Yay! I was hoping someone would choose the tofu books! They look so fascinating! I'll also add some of the other vegan ones
So strange but this video is not working for me 😢...just this one. Trying all other random ones and they are but not this one.
I checked it on several different devices and it's working for me. I hope it's just a temporary internet glitch!!
It's very odd..but I downloaded and was able to watch. Super fun! Thanks! 😊
You are very bad for my pocket book. Maud’s Recipe book not cheap.
Oh no! It's so hard to resist these cookbooks sometimes!
