Love that you guys are planting flowers everywhere, that is going to look so pretty. Good luck on your MRI coming up, hope everything comes out good. If Kevin is ever in Kansas I would love to meet him and his family. I am in a small town called Ottawa. Keep smiling and stay safe 😊❤

Ordered some food grade diatomaceous earth Amazon is the cheapest I found. Sprinkle it all around the inside & outside of the barn and in her feed. Will help with the flies.
Looks like things are coming back in the green for you guys and it makes me so happy to see you doing so well. My heart is smiling to see you planning out things to do again. Take care my friends!
Hey Dawn , Robert I love the Jersey cows they are so unique love the eyes , Congratulations with Mable's pregnancy looking forward to seeing her calf it will be so cute hopefully will have her temperament. Dawn you are such a good mama for Mable ,making sure all is set up and well in the barn for the baby & her. Robert great start on tidying things up , Happy all is working out for you folks and your family financially. and Dawn your health good to hear. Blessings from London Ontario Canada .
My mum loved jersey cows Jesus said they had the most beautiful eyes but she's a healthy cow she's not skinny I think she looks really good just right❤cat Australia
Love seeing your videos, thank you for sharing this part of your life with the world, your videos are better than any reality show out there, your whole family is beautiful, Robert and Dawn has done a beautiful job raising their boys, it seems to be passing down on how the boys are raising their families, such a blessing to watch in a world full of so much negativity, Bless you All❤ Dawn and Rachel are the best, love watching them.
Mum brought a Jersey cow that was pregnant and the calf was a bull. She raised him and then took him to the butchers. Filled her freezer with a years worth of meat. Had it been a cow, she would have kept her. She would always send us home with milk. When she milked her, because of catching one of her udders on barbed wire it would sput out milk when her udders were full. Dogs would hang around to get the milk from this udder. Your Jersey is as sweet as Mum had, and healthy.
You used the best medicine for xows are people. I keep a can of bag blam in my bathroom and drawer by my chair in the living room. Being on Coumadin I get burses or sink tears so easly now. When my boys were babies,it was used on their butts if there was any reddness of diaper rash.
Maybe you could get some fly traps to put around the barn to cut down the number of flies. They have some that are made for those huge biting flies. We have them in Texas also and we don’t have any livestock. They crash into our patio windows trying to get in our house. They knock them selves out sometimes. They hit the windows so hard. 19:19
Hello there🙋🏼♀️ 😊 what a nice surprise on monday😊.... A "carpool" for cows is neat😊 ... no idea how farmers do it here in Germany, I'm a total "citygirl"😅 ... but then compared to the US this country is reaaally small..... my 5 cats vet makes housecalls if I wish for it. But he is just a 5 minute drive away😅... so happy that Dawn is doing great and things are stabile( ( is this spelled right?) ...Anyways ... I hope you have a great day... I keep watching your video drinking coffee as usual😅
Love jersey cows I’ve always loved them since I was little they had taken the golden jersey cow to the mall for pictures she was so beautiful, have you tried getting some Starbar - Quikstrike Fly Bait it works amazing I use it for the outside a farmer recommended it for the flies around his horses and cows it works really fast, is the PO Box Address you have the correct one posted ?
Y'all need to put a rowe of Hall in there for the cow for her to have a baby caff for good luck on the MRI god be with you 😜 prayers to you and family ❤️
I love watching you work around the farm. I never knew cows were so curious. How fun! What’s the purpose of the rocks inside the barn next to the walls? Is it for stability of the metal siding? Just wondered. Thanks for sharing your time with us. Your family rocks!😁😍 love y’all. ❤
Maple is a pretty Jersey cow!!! I remember my dad would go out every morning at 5 am to milk the cows and then again at 5 pm in the evening. We had 10 cows to milk. They were mostly Jeresy cows. We had milkers that would attach to their teats and would automatically milk the cow. The whole barn was wired for the milkers to work. In another room, we had a big cooler to put the milk in, and later, my mom would take the milk into the house to pasteurized it. We had a milkman that would drive out and pick up all the milk cans. Our big dairy barn still stands today, but it's only used for storage today. My dad always had a can of bag balm in the barn. In 1972, dad sold all the dairy cows. We still had about 10 black Angus cows, which eventually ended up getting butchered. My mom raised a lot of chickens, ducks, and geese over the years, too. Mom had a large garden, too. Awww, those were the good old days, growing up on a farm!!! Now, both my parents have passed on. I'm the youngest of 6 siblings, and I'm 62. I can wait to see Maple's calf!!! The calves are so cute!!!
That sounds wonderful. I did purchase a milkers but she doesn't like the sound. Added to that with only one cow to milk it's more of a pain to clean the milkers every time. Being raised on a farm is a wonderful experience. Kids don't understand it until they get older though.
Maybe the wood fencing would be better than the wire, due to possible feet of mama or calf getting twisted in the wire. I could be wrong. Best of luck with everything. You are such good people!
I picked a lot of rock when I was younger. It was in a field though not a barn😂 Do you just put them along the walls to help keep the colder weather out come winter...or just convenience?
Before calf arrives pressure wash the walls and shelf units and such to make it a pleasant work area. Pressure cook Mikey steaks for steam and such. Glad you are feeling pretty darn good.
I really enjoyed this video. It was quite fascinating. I don’t know anything about cows, but she sure seems well loved and cared for. Congratulations on the new calf-to-be. 🩷💙
On our old homestead we milked the cows by putting one finger down at a time. First, second, third then the fourth - pinky finger. Y'all just pull down on her teet. 😖 Ouch.lol Hanging lavender plants from the rafters in the cow barn will keep mice, rats, bugs and snakes out. Also onion's, but cows can't eat them! 😮 Can you buy sawdust for the floor or are you adding a wooden floor? Can you put a troth under the water spout? Great job, looking good in the barn now. Stay blessed and have a great day. Happy trails🤠😉😀✌🏼💚🍁🍂🐿️🐦⬛🪶
I really like watching your videos they put a smile on my face. Thank you

A mineral block with garlic helps to keep flies away sweetness
Jersey cows are the most beautiful ones I think. Glad you kept her

It is so nice to see how much you two care for each other. You are a lovely couple. 💕
The spiders should be a good fly catcher. My great grandmother had the first Jersey herd to South Africa, in the Cape. She was very proud of them.
Blessings over you

Pallets are great to put square bales of hay on. We use them to keep moisture off of hay
Love birds ❤.
Your cows are so pretty. It seems at times there's not enough hours in the day.
The milkcow is beautiful, hours in a day is sometimes not much. God bless you 2

I grew up on a Jersey farm. She is a beautiful girl. My dad sold all the cows to someone in Texas. Kinstlecrest was the farm name in Ohio.

Love it!!! 💖💗💓💛💜💞
You might want to check into a vacuum style milking machine. It would save you a lot of time milking her.

I think so too!
She is beautiful just another part of the family. 😊

What is your cows name? She is so cute.
Why don’t you get a milking machine?
Before calf arrives pressure wash the walls and shelf units and such to make it a pleasant work area. Pressure cook Mikey steaks for steam and such. Glad you are feeling pretty darn good.
How do get pkg from Arkansas po box to you
So how come the vet doesn't come to you?
Not enough vets for them to visit unless it's an emergency.
I really enjoyed this video. It was quite fascinating. I don’t know anything about cows, but she sure seems well loved and cared for. Congratulations on the new calf-to-be. 🩷💙
