Was also furious when I found out "last minute" plane change from Doha to Dallas in March 2023, until I realized that every single QR Boeing 777 flight to Dallas is on old 777-2DZ with no Qsuite. QR clearly is misleading people with their deceptive marketing practices. Left a bad taste in my mouth after a great experience on the inbound A350.
I agree…. The same thing happened to me on my way from Chicago to Doha to the Maldives. I was hoping on the return we would get the q suite and we did not. The flight crew said that this happens all of the time. I spent a lot of money for these tickets and I was furious…. I have no desire to fly Qatar again.

I have flown on A350 without Q-suites and with Q suites. I wonder if that has changed. I also thought the 787s would be getting the modified Q suites. But not all I guess.
Also the disappointing thing is that flights to certain destinations don’t get gates at the terminal but passengers are bused miles away (not 100% sure it’s based on ethnicity- but feels like it - used to happen at Dubai as well)- makes the experience arduous. It has happened regularly for years.
I like QR and Q- suites- wish they could streamline the experience better ( I understand the limits due to different aircraft variants).

My concerns are: sudden hardware change to a non-Q and Codeshare. Codeshare cannot match even the QR soft product and food.

How did you feel about the toilets being right behind your seat in 1K? Was it noisy? Alot of foot traffic? The only "couples" seats left on our upcoming flight are Row 1 E & F. I'm concerned about the proximity to the bathroom and galley. Thank you
its fine its not that bad. There are also toilet at the back, not everyone will come to the front. U probably won't notice people using the toilet anyway. u can go ahead and select the seats :)

I sat in 1K on a flight from Doha to Manchester and didn't close the door at all, and I wasn't disturbed at all...
It's impossible to confidently book a QSuite flight because there is always a chance you will get the dreaded 2-2-2.....Qatar should implement a compensation structure to alleviate that. I am sure they are missing out on bookings because of it.

That first class seat is completely pointless given how good the Qsuites are LOL.
True. But I recently took their first class. I understand the seats are not better than Qsuite but the fact is, the cabin has less people, more space per seat and lower passenger-to-FA ratio, makes the experience more exclusive, and that is important to those wealthy people.
I’m happy with Qsuite all the time, but the cabin is always close to full. For me and u it’s totally fine. But for those oil tycoon, they may find it peasant-like lol.
There is a market for first class, but I think QR just need to have a small cabin for that to not waste space. Like what AF is doing.
@@SuiteFlyer oh 100% I agree with you on that rich people will fly first class for exactly the reasons you've mentioned. Exclusivity, more personalised care, and the feeling that you're getting the very best is important to the elites.
I've always flown business since a child, and first class a few times, but for me the first time I tried qsuite a year ago it completely blurred the line between business and first. For me, I would not splurge on first if qsuite was on offer.
At the end of the day, as long as you feel like you're getting good value, then you're doing it right!
Correction: you flew on a Boeing 777, not an A350
