    Awesome video! I’ve been on the fence about an SE or a Limited Platinum. I wanted to see what the Platinum had versus the SE and this summarized it up really well!

    We just got a Highlander 2018, they look exactly same as the previous models. The salesman said they aren't redesigning until 2020. I love it except the third row is very small, and if you get the bench seat its very hard to get in the back row. The key fob is the worse.

      Check for hump on dash just left of clock. Toyota claims their poor quality is not a warranty issue because others have the same problem.

    The third row climate control is available on the RXL. But they threw it into the third row as an after thought which is very disappointing. I was looking forward to the 3-row RX and it seems like they just slapped something together to rush it into market.

    As soon as the 2019s highlander are available I would love to see a tour like this one. I am hoping they will include a foot tail gate opener and a senor for the wipers to start when it detects rain and along with the auto light on the same senor. Well here is hoping they will had those feature. I am so happy they have the premiere with cloth seat. I have a 2012 hb and it only comes in leather and I don't like leather in the car. Thanks again yall did a great job.

      Make sure to look for hump in dash just to the drivers side of the clock in the channel between the bezel and main dash. Dealer says its a problem, Toyota acknowledges issue but refuses to do anything because it says others have the same issue. We bought one last month and have less than 600 miles on it. I have gone to other dealers and some do and some don't have the problem. Toyota warranty is terrible. Buyer beware.

    Btw.. I like how you do reviews. I just want to get your opinion. Since i was looking for an suv with 3rd row seat with enough leg space and you said this is the one of the worst 3rd row, what other vehicle do you recommend thats close to toyotas reliability ?

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! You could check out the Subaru Ascent or Honda Pilot but they are pretty close in size to the Highlander. For ultimate third row space you should look at the Chevy Traverse or VW Altas but those don't have the reputation for quality like the Japanese do. We hope this helps!

    • @CarConfections

      The RAV4 is big for it's class, but you will still find a sizable difference. Maximum cargo capacity with the second row folded is 73.4 cu.ft on RAV4 vs. 83.7 on Highlander. Hope this helps!

      well i have a 2018 highlanderAWD Limited. It has birds eye view and a panoramic moonroof and its not a platinum. The wheels are the bright chrome not dark chrome. Something else id like to mention is the19 inch chrome wheels are fakes. their 19inch Aluminium rims with plastic chrome covers. It doesnt matter if its the limited, or the the limited platinum. So other then the different coloured plastic chrome wheel covers.. i still dont know whats different.

      Canadian Limited version is different compared to US. The differences between Limited & Platinum in the state.
      1. Heated Steering wheel
      2. Second row headed seat
      3. Panoramic moonroof
      4. Bird eyes cam
      5. Rain sensing wiper
      6. Both Front & rear Sonar (Limited only have rear)
      7. Dark chromatic vs shinny
      These feature cost additional $3000 on top of Limited.

      @MrGrace123 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      oru nayagan hi there, seems you did some homework with the list..I am looking for a 7-8 seater. So besides the 3 you mentioned, I also thought of Nissan Pathfinder. Which one would you prefer?
      Is cvt a issue in general, and specifically with the above cars?

    • @orunayagan3288
      @orunayagan3288 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jalil Popalzai for 8 seater only best option is honda pilot. highlander says 3 seater but 3rd row is so cramped almost equal to cx9s 3rd row. cx9 3rd row is for 2 person and they can sit ok but 2 adult cant sit for long drives. almost bought highlander but after repeat test drive i felt cx9 is more sportier, fun and interior is so plush and luxurious. highlander is so good but if u love driving and like to have fun cx9 is better option. perception varies but so glad that i got cx9. never felt boring to drive at any point. its like driving a luxury vehicle with price of 15k to 20k less. again what u want to drive next 10 years is upto u. but definetly try both. nissan path finder is a good choice to. but i felt cx9 is bit higher up all (except size).

After driving for three weeks my leg gets numb even driving for about fifteen minutes. Called Totoya to report. Paid around 50k expected Toyota would more do to make seats more cushion. Just bought one. The heated steering wheel only seems to heat at the 10 and 2 o'clock positions, and a little on the bottom, but not at all on the top. Is this correct? I come from a 300C where the whole wheel heated.

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      SuperJoeitall It probably is. A lot of automakers only heat the center portions to save money unfortunately. Happy New Year!

    • @SilverGoldComics
      @SilverGoldComics 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've found that most cars only hear part of the steering wheel to keep costs down. I've had the Highlander for about a month now and like it. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 as of now. Gas mileage does not seem to be what they say. The odometer doesn't show until you shut the car off, which bugs me. The gauges and screens are not easy to toggle and find. On the good side, the seats are very comfortable and roomy, it has good power for a 6 cylinder and it's an overall nice looking SUV. I plan to keep this for many years, so the true value will be in how well it holds up. I had a 4Runner for 17 years with not a single issue other than the normal wear of tires, battery, etc. I'm hoping for the same!

      thái nguyen Worst emoji message. The advantage of having a smaller length for fitting in my garage outweighs the third seat amenities. The third row seat is not used very often for most people and if so, they usually buy a van. Also, when you have a Hybrid AWD, there is less cargo space available due to batteries and such.

    Don't buy this junk. It's a waste of your time and money. Buy the Honda Pilot Touring instead
