    Huge red sox fan. Yankees are my #1 hated team in all of sports. But Jeter was the fuckin man. The king of cool in NY in the 90s

    I'm a lifelong Yankee hater, so this may be coloring my view of Jeter. But I feel like he was a consistent, above average shortstop. Dependable, solid, reliable. But because he was on the Yankees, he was coronated as the greatest ever. And as many point out, he wasn't even the best shortstop on the team.

    Jeter is probably the most overrated shortstop of his time. Jeter would have been nowhere without Bernie Williams, Paul O'Neill, Tino Martinez saving all Jeter's wild throws, Posada, etc etc.

    • @brandonsilva5043
      @brandonsilva5043 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah but jeter made all those wild throws that’s what made him great you need to gamble a little bit to be great jordan always made the last shot Peyton always came back in the last 2 minutes and jeter made wild throws that were unbelievable at times

    This story is so stupid. You think someone as meticulous, smart and calculated as Jeter wouldn't recognize the same girl twice? Also that KC trope works both ways. Lots of players find it easier to play in anonymity. Bring them to the bright lights of NY and they fold. Being clutch in those situations is a superpower that is often under valued. Lots of the post season failures in the 2000s were linked to A-Roid choking. When he finally stopped having panic attacks at the plate in 2009 we won again.

    Love him, am a Yankee fan, but people might learn that statistically he may be the worst fielding short stop in history.
