Mostly agree with what you said. To me it’s a viable Genshin replacement- dolphin here and I already put in $100+ for Wuwa to have a good launch. I’ve been playing PGR and Genshin for 3y now and (1) won’t forget #qiqifallen and how they manage their player relationships (2) I’m a Lucia Plume simp and Kurou hasn’t even begun to showcase combat waifu yet. I’ve C6R1’d all my fave chars in Genshin, and would have probably 80% done it for Clorinde. But with Wuwa, I now plan to C0R1. What was a $300 spending exercise on Clorinde is now $0. I hate monopolies that don’t look after their customers, Hoyo is exactly that.
Totally agree with everything you mentioned. The story only started to get interesting with Jinshi / Scar. Despite them copying genshin's systems and ui, the puzzles / minigames and most importantly combat stand out to me as fresh, theres no boss in genshin that can style on you or do a grab attack if you fail to dodge.

Has nothing to do with with WW, a game that has been out for less than a week. As a new game they have to be generous because of all the game play issues. If anything, Gen has shared ideas and information with HSR. What HSR has implemented and created also feeds Genshin. They work together… People can play more then one game, and enjoy them. There is not such thing as a Genshin “killer” either… These games will coexist fine. No competition… Thankfully Gen has much more then just combat.
Wuthering Waves has been in development for a long time, and suddenly we get almost everything we've been asking for in genshin right after WuWa's release? It's not a coincidence
Well, combat is probably the most important thing in a game like this. Not to mention wuwa seems like the kind of game to add an actual endgame, which Genshin won't.
Regarding the VA, there's no such a thing as contract binding VA to Mihoyo. Kuro just hired a UK talent agency with different talents than the one Hoyo hiring.
That's good to know. I do know there exists something called a non compete contract, which many businesses use to make sure competitors don't get their talent, and was wondering if that was the case here.
@Thundah090 the contract won't make sense to VA anyway, they need all the job they can get as they work under the talent agency and not the game company. I got this info from Mina Aoyama.

You don't actually know what's at stake until you meet with Jinshj, which makes the early part of the story a drag.
The game has a Skip button, that makes the game is 10000000x times worth than Genshin
