I had a heck of a time hooking up my PTO first go around also. I found raising the mower up so the PTO shaft would be level actually made it easier also greasing the stub shaft on the tractor helps. I have Multiple Sclerosis and have trouble with coordination so doing a couple of different movements at the same time is difficult. I've got a video with some of the tricks I use hooking up my mower that might make things easier for you even without any sort of disability.
I could be wrong as I’ve never used a brush cutter before, but it looked like your top link was adjusted incorrectly so that the rear wheel on the brush cutter wasn’t supporting anything and you were just dragging the entire body of the brush cutter along. Anyway, like I said I could be wrong, just enjoy watching your videos!
I imagine it was. Hydraulic top link is on my list of things get. I got 4th and 5th function from the factory when I bought the tractor. Adjusting the top link can be a hassle sometimes.
@@simpsonstractorworks4263 I could be wrong, but I’ve always seen the rear wheel supporting the weight some. Maybe the wheel could be adjusted as well…but it definitely looked like the front edge was digging in the dirt 😂 Yeah, a hydraulic top link is high on my list of things I want for my tractor! 👍
the frontier does not come greased or with any oil in the gear box, you can not just hook to tractor and start working with it you may of found that out already after a few hours work

Everything has a learning curve. I'm sure the next time won't be as difficult. I'll check your vid out!
