@@alfiegordon9013 The M1 CPU, barring platform issues like multi monitor support, is great. The problems come with the laptops they're put in; i'd rather not sacrifice being able to connect a USB or SD card to my computer for a couple hours extra battery life. Not to mention their sticky keyboard.

Rumors are that the new macs that will come with the M1X will have (all of them) SD card reader and two usb type c ports and macsafe (it's returning), the pro will have a lot of usb ports (four) also with SD card reader, macsafe and hdmi, hope it's true, that'll make those laptops be more usable!

My moms currently battling COPD/colon and liver cancer, it’s a hard fight but her doctors and nurses are doing an amazing job and she’s a fighter. To anyone out there either going through it or having a family member going through it, always be positive even if it’s nearly impossible. A positive attitude is half the battle.

I ran into this issue as well. I naively bought an almost maxed out Mac around like 2013 or so. Considering the specs I should’ve been able to max out everything, but ran into some issues with different things such as video capturing/pass through, or playing games on windows VMs
