Hello! I live in Tallinn. When I watch your videos I always think if you would visit Baltic and Estonia, big was my surprise when you uploaded a video from my hometown. Thank you! As I watch your videos, I have noticed that many countries you visit, were more prosperous under the Soviet Union. So the people living there say that things were better back in the Soviet Union, now its just abandoned buildings. Well, in Estonia there are different opinions about Soviet Union, but overall we don't think kindly about Soviet Estonia. We are proud about our independence and Estonian Republic (1918-1939, 1991-present). My great-grandfather was arrested by Soviet Union, sent to Saransk, where he was murdered in 1942, because he was quite an important military figure in the first republic. My father despise everything to do with Soviet Union, because he was in Soviet army and life there was very rough and hard. But older people have said, that it wasn't that bad living under Soviet Union (there was free healthcare etc). In school we are taught about Soviet Union's oppression, so the younger generation have probably negative emotions about the Union. Most of us don't miss/like the Soviet Union, but like I said opinions differ, you can find some sympathetic people about Soviet Union in the older generation (maybe 60 and up). Your videos have shown me, that not all previous Member States have that kind of opinion about the Union and I can see why. So thank you for broadening my knowledge! About the architecture, you went to the Old Town, which is mostly preserved from Middle Ages and was protected even in Soviet times. If you want to find Soviet architecture in Tallinn you have to go to Lasnamäe or Mustamäe (they are districts of Tallinn), which were built in Soviet times and most houses are from that time. This is common Estonian winter and we are used to it, but as you have experienced yourself, the icy stairs and roads are brutal to everyone, so be careful. I hope your hamstring will heal soon. By the way, my father played in a band in 1980 during the Moscow Olympics in Tallinn near the Linnahall (the monstrosity you climbed on). All in all, I am very happy that you visited my country and even hometown. Keep up the excellent work and hope to see your videos about Estonia and Baltics! Killu

Tallinn looks nice, only been there once. Tempted to go back again.
Hey, Bald! If you're looking for real soviet heritage I would recommend coming to Lithuania. Especially a town called Visaginas. I think nothing actually changed there since the soviet times. And near that town there's a nuclear power plant. It's decommissioned now but they do tours inside and it's very similar to chernobyl power plant. The chernobyl series were filmed there. Only we have quarantine bans here and we can't move between municipalities at the moment. But I really would love to see you visit our country when covid is contained.
Love your work bro!!! Your video are addictive. Keep it up mate
Thanks for not dying on the steps of Tallinn!
Ben! even you can't imagine how much sense of humour you have, your videos are so entertaining and informative love you from Pakistan
Finally. Eesti!!! Welcome / Tere tulemast! I have been a long time follower of your main channel. Wanna get a soviet experience - go to Sillamäe, which also used to be a closed city back in the old days, in Ida-Virumaa county. Anyway, you can find A LOT soviet stuff from Estonia. That was just one example. 😉
I love your new channel, give me some Bald everyday! Especially now with corona quarantiane it's nice you show us some other places
WOOOO! MORE CONTENT
I came from the other channel because you haven't posted there in 3 weeks. I guess I know why now. Covid, the holidays and now his hamstring. I hope we will get to see more of you soon. For now I guess ill watch the rest of your videos on the other channel. I'm a very big history buff, maybe touring around Germany when this is all over? I would love to see it. For now, I'm just happy to see you're making videos still. Make sure you put your feet up for a few weeks and get some much needed rest on those legs of yours. I'm sure you've been everywhere. If you have any videos from the last few years that are short I'm sure many of us would love to see it on this channel. Make sure to upvote so he can see this. Anyway I love your videos, from Canada with love!
