- What are some fun figures you have in your collection that stand out to you or would have someone completely unfamiliar with the character asking all kinds of questions if they saw your display?
Also, talking about the new Last of Us figures, Transformers, new figure arrivals and more.
I had to work on some action figure packaging art, and was sad to miss this week's live chat! Watching it now, actually.
Oh, and to answer the question in your video's title: Pulsar or Power Lord are probably two of the oddest figures in my collection. Pulsar is 13" tall, has a see-thru torso with a circulatory system, lungs and heart. When you push the button in his back, blood (red dyed liquid) pumps thru his veins and arteries, and his heart pumps up and down. Also, there's a hinge at the top of his head that allows the face to swing up from the chin like a reverse mailbox door, revealing his brain is a computer with reflective lenticular discs that give him missions. The discs are just cardboard covered in plastic, but that's a weirdass toy! Power Lord has a swivel waist that flips that flips his upper body around to reveal a blue alien on the flipside of the figure so he transforms from human to the blue alien, Power Lord! Pretty wild figures, those two!
The Power Lords had such a cool look. Very fun looking figures!
@@LylesFigureFiles Nothing else like them at the time, and probably since! lol. I dig them because they're so weird, hard to find, and fun to play with. The collector's dream toy! heh
My weekly pickups were mostly Joe related: Croc Master, Metalhead and Shipwreck.
It isn't quite a goofy or odd looking figure but I think my most interesting figures are either my 12" Hannibal Lector on dolley or my Alex Murphy with damage/wounds.
That Murphy with damage wounds is a VERY good choice!
@@LylesFigureFiles I bought a second so I can have pre-Clarence and post-Clarence versions on display. Also I have a toxic waste Emil, carded because that seems weirder.
Weird figs, let's see...from Rick and Morty: Mr. Meeseeks and Snowball. Almost all of the Toynami Futurama figures I used to have. Creature from the Black Lagoon always gets a comment or two. Probably the funniest reaction I've gotten though is from my fiance when we first started dating. She came over to my apartment and saw my life-sized face hugger from Alien for the first time, lol.
Oooh, the Futurama figures! Good call!
D'you think Target caters to countries in SE Asia, like the Philippines? I know BBTS does. Will BBTS carry the new Venompool?
I don't think they do.
🤔😒 According to my dad, all of my figures look pretty whacky to him. But if I had to choose, I would pick my classic TMNT figure collection. Playmates came up with some really whacky designs and themes for the turtles back then. 🥷🐢
LOL. I feel you. Those TMNT figs might have some competition from NECA these days.
