    The epidemic is 1/8 scale same electronics if anyone was looking for same price range but al little bigger and better. Check it out. Great info here

      Nope the epidemic has a much bigger 4274 1600kv motor that doesnt overheat unlike the tenacitys motor. The esc in the epidemic is a hobbywing sc8 100a 2-4s lipo. The epidemics electros are really good

    Mine got up to 288 on the first run. I geared it down with the Mip 41t spur and 10t pinion. Still ran too hot for me. Just put the motor out of my thunder tiger buggy in it. Problem fixed.

      What's the timing set at on your ESC? I noticed the manual says 0 deg, but it needs to be 15 deg for the Fuze. Not sure if that's a typo or the early versions really came with the timing set wrong.

    • @twinturbotony93
      @twinturbotony93 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RazorRC IDK what the timing is at. My hobbywing program card wouldn't connect with the esc.

      @@RazorRC where did you get 15 degrees from?

    • @RazorRC
      @RazorRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Furadi stock ESC timing is 15 degrees. I tested 7.5 and 11.25 also, but those run hotter than 15 degrees. It's adjustable (setting 9) on the ESC.

      @@RazorRC Interesting. I got mine used and I don't remember what it was set to but when I set it to 0 it ran much cooler and had more punch. Like noticeably more punch. Maybe I'll try 15 later.

    I ordered the new leopard 3670 v2 2400kv motor and put a 17tooth pinion on it and the stock motor and gear slot faster and stronger. Even with that leopard motor it was running hot. So I heated it down to a 16t it ran cool but had no speed and no more 30mph wheelies . So don’t waste your time and money on that motor. Thinking about the castle 1512 motor

    Great video. Shoe Goo my body, got fan for motor but unfortunately My Tenacity MT chassis shattered on my 2nd run. The front assembly totally separated from the main chassis. Anyone know if the Tenacity DB's parts are compatible.? Was thinking of getting a used DB and swapping parts.

    Can you add a link for the heat sink?

    I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. KV makes no impact on power. KV is really just to fit the gearing. Motor physical size (specifically the magnet size) is what changes your power. It does seem like these trucks are better suited for closer to 3000kv

  • @LawrenceTimme
    @LawrenceTimme 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    This truck has so much wasted space in the chassis, it's got enough room to fit 1/8th scale motors and esc

      I feel like it's only good if you get the Proformance kit too. The plastic chassis is hella annoying.

    Bought one brand new after one run I noticed s strange noise coming from the center diff area. Removed center diff and noticed the rear center diff drive shaft was worn right down and the center diff cup has grooves in it!! Metal shavings all over in that area. I beleive it’s wearing so badly because of the steep angle the driveshaft is from the high ground clearance on the diffs to the center diff.anyone else have this issue?

      jay inman no extra wear on mine, make sure everything turns smoothly front and rear without the motor/pinion attached

    Biggest tip for this truck. My first run on a 2s lipo after 10 minutes was 200 degrees, called Horizon Hobby, they said it's good for up to 250 degrees. Evidently there knowledge of RC brushless motors is poor. I mean come -on this these electronics are capable of running 3s. Far as I can figure the tech support for Horizon Hobby are IDIOTS !!!
    The fix- I shortened the mounting bolts for the motor 1/16 or 1/8 inch ( I'm not sure now) and also added a lock washer. The temps. on a 2s battery are now 110, on a 3s battery are 160. Put a Dynamite cooling fan on, temps. at 70 degrees outside don't go over 145 running a 3s battery. That's a huge change ! The whole problem is to long of mounting bolts.
    Long story short, Horizon Hobby tech does not know or care what there talking about, think they read off a sheet like telemarketers.

      Good tips! I smoked my ESC today, so going to put in an Arrma BLX100 combo.

      @@RazorRC That's a good one. I just don't care that the ESC doesn't have a drag brake adjustment. Really do like the Dynamite ESC over Arrma's 100 series
