Do they really want more GT3 manufacturers though? They clearly (and rightfully so) favour the Hypercar category. It wouldn't surprise me if only a handful GT3s will remain in a couple of years.
@@Petidani0330 I don't see them shrinking the GT3 field. And Multiclass is a core part of this series identity, it wouldn't make sense. But Hypercars are ultimately the main driving factor for viewership and interest so they will have the spotlight and priority in grid expansion. Also the increased interest around the series benefits GTs too.

We need separate highlights for hyper cars and GT3 classes.

They used to be 1 min 50 seconds lol then we all complained and here we are. Theyre getting better. But yea 12 mins for 6 hrs isnt much. But still better than 2 minutes 😆

race was a bit dull, to be honest
They should return to the 52 minute highlights without all the off track bullshit. All access has racing for like half the screentime. For the Brazil one it took like 15 minutes to race to start out of the 40 minute video, and a further 5-10 minutes of random footage of people in the garage instead of the on track action.

Great job Heart of Racing! I believe the last time an American team went Pole to Victory in class in WEC was Corvette Racing at last years 24hrs of Le Mans.

I think there should be an extended highlight video of GT3s and a video for Hypercars. Both will get their fair share of screen time thats rightfully due. Barely seen any gt3 action..

Although it wasn’t the works Ferrari that won, it was still a pretty damn good weekend for Ferrari by winning the Italian GP too. And it was good to see another customer car win this season too!

I was there on the track this weekend.
That last hour was tense since I wanted Kobayashi's Toyota to reach the Ferrari. Good race!
If battle between Val Rossi and McLaren is not wothy of the highlights, then it deserves a standalone video.

That light was flashing green and yellow.
I don’t think the driver should get a penalty because of malfunctioning trackside equipment...
The penalty on Kamui is doubtful, European teams don't know how to beat Toyota honestly
Still, there was also a man waving a yellow flag as a precaution against such malfunctions.
Im fairly certain that marshall flags always take priority over the electronic boards in case of issues with the system, but either way a bit if a shame for toyota :(

It’s wild that both this and the F1 race had a Ferrari in the lead with a faster car behind on the closing laps, with the Ferrari ending up winning.
The driving standard in wec is sometimes abysmal, it’s like online racing for some of these drivers. Dive bomb from 50m back slamming into opponents or faster cars 😂😂. Also that Toyota penalty towards the end was ridiculous!!

I still remember when Kubica scored a hard-fought point for Williams after his return to F1. Russell was a problem then, and he is still a problem now.
Formula 1 race is an hour and have 7-9 minutes highlights. 6 hours racing only got 11:47 and this is already extended

A very first independence day in wec - Kubica the mystery legend suprise with his team to delight an win in wec finally! #50 & #51 Ferrari with problems, Buemi lost his coolness and defends like he did in formula e, Kobayashi tries damage limitation with P2 and the most high end last lap hunt of the season, Schumacher alpine finally take some points in the series an breakthrough at last but now he has to focused on finishing off the season in best form, Porsche with a non podium it's surely an intense title fight, can Toyota still hold on to become champions again or finally Porsche or Ferrari to succeed?🏆🏁🍾🤩

Ferrari have finally managed to convert a 1-2-3 (after the first lap) into a single victory. Wow.
Always wanted to see Kubica in the Ferrari works car. However, based on the results, he is better off in AF Corsa, I think. As long as Ferrari gives them as much support as they do to the other 2 cars.
@@bessarion1771 They do. Technically AF Corse runs all 3 cars, it's not really a private team like Jota and Proton.

Kubica should be in factory Ferrari.

Anthony Davidson is insanely biased towards Toyota. the Buemi vs Porsche incident is clearly a move not to be done by a guy with 20 years of racing and 2 hours to go, but in the race he really wasnt that critical.
I know. Buemi was ridiculous with that move. Im newer to WEC but it seems like there's some history there for that kind of aggression.

GTD in IMSA are GT3 cars, just a slightly different spec than WEC. Unfortunately this race, not much battling happened in GT3, especially compared with Hypercar.

CotA is such a boring track. Does not matter what kind of race is there, its almost never interesting. Track lack its own spirit. On the other hand, great to see Kubica winning !

Unlucky for #5 Porsche-were robbed of a possible second place if not for their pit stop blunder. Same in Le Mans of not for decision to not pit immediately when it started to rain. Otherwise they’d be on 109 points and #6 Porsche on 119 if you take the points away which they inherited.
So 4 former F1 drivers (Buemi, Giovinazzi, Kobayashi, and Kubica)? Still, considering how fast Kubica really is, I do not get why there is no F1 team who would want him.
Imagine if there wasn't that ridiculous BoP (I am not against it, but it just needs to be more transparent, concise and rational.) The race would be much better.
