You must understand that the heavy rain came all over Telangana and Andhra and from catchment area to Vijayawada will take some time. Due to encroachment of Budameru by YCP batches there was no chance for free flow of flood water and this resulted in the disaster.

Need to understand the reality, it’s easy to say with three words. Do you know we have enough infrastructure structure? All major cities across country were inundated in the past, but why? In the name of expansion, urbanization, encroachment, and other factors contributed to this man made disaster. This is not only true in India, but in western countries too and elsewhere. They went through in the past brought some changes to preserve original and natural water flows. That’s why before any new construction starts, they need clearance from an agency called Army Core of Engineers who assess viability of the new construction and any disturbances to natural flow of water lines. Early warning system, pre and post disaster management, combined with logistical nightmare is not an easy job. Despite all of this, government mobilization of resources and those who performing duties day and night commendable. Just be sensible before posting these kind of comments.

Sarada river was in spate and the villages around Chodavaram, Anakapalle were submerged for days till flood waters receded into the sea. .Vizag city inspite of these heavy rainfall was not affected except the old city area nearr Reading room were cleared because of the new storm water drainage scheme implemented with the aid from ODA. The officials worked then are still available and can recollect. The data I mentioned would be available on record. AP was known to be a state with efficient officials in flood control and Cyclone and disaster relief operations. It is sad that today the officials are blamed in Vijayawada for not able to rise to the occasion. The subtle difference between the powers of the legislature and the executive are eroded by the political parties.There is need for serious introspection. The constitutional duties assigned between the executive and Legislature are under serious threat today and should be set right otherwise it is a set back to Indian Democracy.

People would have appreciated if the reporter had asked for what were the precautionary/ preparatory measures govt took especially as a collector when they got the National weather alert . Is there any specific process for these kind of scenarios ??
Is there any emergency alert in communication system ? Is there any specific set of instructions that could have been given to public in low lying areas whenever these kind of alerts come . Is there evacuation process prepped any time ??

1964 ,2005 లో బుడమేరు వలన విజయవాడ లో వరదలు వచ్చాయి..2005 లో రాజశేఖరరెడ్డి ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా ఉన్నాడు...అరకొర సాయం చేశారు బాధితులకు.. ఆయన హామీ ఇచ్చాడు అపుడు ...బుడమేరు నీటిని విజయవాడ సైడ్ రాకుండా కృష్ణా నదిలోకి పోయేట్లు చేస్తాను తక్షణమే అని చెప్పాడు..రెండు సంవత్సరాల తరువాత బుడమేరు నీరు పోలవరం కాలువ ద్వారా ఇబ్రహీం పట్న😢 దగ్గర కృష్ణా‌నదిలోకి పోయేట్లు చేశాడు రాజశేఖరరెడ్డి..కాని ఉన్న ప్రాబ్లెమ్ నదిలో పైనుంచి వరద వస్తున్నప్పుడు బుడమేరు నీరు నదిలోకి వెళ్ళక వెనుకకు వచ్చేస్తుంది.. రాజశేఖరరెడ్డి ఈ విషయం పరిగణలోనికి తీసుకోలేదు.అదే తప్పయినది.అపుడే వేరే మార్గాలు చూసి విజయవాడ కు వరదలు రాకుండా చేయలేదు.దాని వలనే ఇపుడు వరదలు ఇంత ప్రమాదం
