Don't forget that the original RE4 was the first game in the genre of shooters with 3rd person perspective after which came all others, it was a turning point in the game industry
1) I'm sorry man, but I have to dock you points for not going back to check on the police car. You'd get a cutscene where Leon notices the skid marks made from the collision between it and the truck, and Leon peers over the ridge to find that both cars went over the edge and into the river below. 2) The name for the chainsaw man is Dr. Salvador, not Dr. Salazar. 3) The localization for the RE4 English script allowed ad-libbing in some instances. The 'bingo' line, for example? Ad-libbed. The Japanese line was a simple 'where is everyone going?' 4) Leon's snark may be the result of a coping mechanism, used to distance himself from trauma: it's made much more apparent in RE4 remake (with Krauser calling Leon out on it). Though I concede that some of Leon's lines like his comment to Hunnigan at the beginning probably didn't age all too well. 5) RE4 kind of knows it's a video game, in a sense. It leans into 90's and early 2000's action movie camp-iness, at times. Based on how you're viewing the game at this point, I don't think you're going to enjoy it as much as the remake that had more polish and tidying up put into it. Maybe I'm partially wrong and you'll have a respect for it at the end, but I anticipate more negativity before then.
@@Xiaolruc thank you for the comment and thank you for clearing all that up. I honestly didn’t know as I said I’m very new to this franchise and I totally get the love the fans have for the original resident evil four as that’s the one that they grew up with and who knows maybe by the end my mind will change. I’m always open to be proven wrong. I’m very excited to dive deeper into the original and see what surprises that has in store for me. And thank you for clearing up the name of the chainsaw man I’ll be sure to correct that in my next video please if you see any more inconsistencies feel free to correct me as I said I am very new to this franchise so I’m willing to be corrected.
The game is insane. Both of them. In fact I started playing Dead Space Remake and 1 hour in i just can’t get into it bc it’s not RE4 lol. It’s good. But it’s not RE4. Great video.
If you walk over to the broken bridge after you clear off the waves of zombies at the first phase of the game. The truck ran the car that brought you to the village off the bridge you drove over. But the remake was made better no doubt story has better ,it has better cohesion and feels more fit based on what’s happening presently in the game. It’s just preferences I like both games equally. You like Leon being a nice person and everybody likes him like being an asshole.Him being the way he was is the reason people liked him and if you watch any of the animated RE movies it’s pretty faithful to him as well.
@@caseydouglas412 thank you for clearing up the cut scene cause I genuinely didn’t know what happened and as far as Leon being an asshole, I understand that’s the OG like I said in my review, that’s what people grew up with and that’s perfectly fine however I did not grow up with resident evil. Yes, I was alive during that time. But I was more of a halo first person, shooter guy I’m just now getting to the resident evil series so I do not have any nostalgia attached to the original games
@ don’t worry man it’s good and I was also I halo guy too. Having friends with multiple systems gave me a taste of all the different gaming experiences so we were also there. Great video btw.

@@bulatgaynullin677 very true
you're forgetting Resident Evil: Dead Aim, which came out before RE4 and RE7. it used over-the-shoulder walking and first-person aiming
very good enjoyed keep it up
