Hycan is locally distributed by a truck dealer (only one dealership and service center in Metro Manila) and it won't last that long with that distributor as Astara will take over the Hycan will take over that brand in the near future

I'm sorry but I really cannot agree with "unmistakably". Seeing one of these in the thumbnail a while ago made me think it was a modified Alphard. Hell maybe I've seen multiple of these in the road but mistakenly thought it was an Alphard. WHICH IS A GOOD THING in my opinion.
Hybrid version of the GAC M8 uses Toyota hybrid technology Toyota refuse to produce the Alphard in China for many years despite offers from GAC to produce it in China GAC manufactures and exports Honda Odyssey vans to Japan now.

The front grill looks like a “ cow catcher” front of an old train; very gaudy looking, way too big!
Agreed, looks a little too tacky but at least Alphard buyers can opt for this since it would be more available. Not that I can afford either lol
