I do love the jam and clotted cream combo 😋 I’ve got quite a few more afternoon teas to upload and also scheduled to do in the coming weeks. Do you have a fave go to jam you like? I loved the jam flavours in the Paris Ritz afternoon tea I did as I loved the variety.
Hey I hope you're having a lovely weekend! It was really good fun to be out with my friends for the afternoon tea as I often go to them on my own as I prefer to go in the week. It was a real shame the weather wasn't ideal as I can imagine the views would be amazing on a clear day. I found it very relaxed and quite casual compared to other afternoon tea venues. The staff were amazing too! 🤗
The views were wonderful, but that music, the bad Annie Lenox cover of “Sweet Dreams,” would drive me crazy. I prefer a quieter afternoon tea atmosphere. A nice tinkling piano. 😉
Yes I do like nice classical music and often use that style of music in my videos too as I like to make viewers feel like it’s a relaxing experience to watch (hopefully) 🤔
@@josatkin Your vids provide great info and are relaxing to watch. I’m glad that I could hear the (cover) music in the background at the Shard. It helped me narrow down my list of afternoon teas 😉
Yes it was lovely catching up with friends and a more relaxed informal vibe compared to other places I go. The views (on a sunny day) would be amazing too
Hi, I'm sure you'll have an amazing afternoon tea. It's a hard question as it depends why you're going - special occasion, want great views etc. I think if you have a lovely sunny clear day then The Shard will be lovely to get an amazing view of the city and it's more casual in terms of dress and vibe. I've been in F&M many times and I think F&M are consistently good. It has a very airy open plan setup and a pianist. I have not been to Kensington Palace for afternoon tea though. I have more afternoon tea videos to upload but I'm sure whatever place you pick you'll love it! Thanks for your support and watching! 🤗
Thank you for the video. It was relaxing. The shard tea seemed yummy in the video but for me the ritz beats it. Mind you, that view..........👍. Were the flowers really faux? It surprised me when you mentioned it. Perhaps it's a hygiene thing, but edible flowers are served all of the time for example in salad dishes. Strange. Looked great in the video though. Perhaps I misunderstood. Truffle in egg, yummy. Beef creation sounded odd. The cakes looked fabulous. Hope you enjoy the rest of your time in UK.
Hi, Thanks for watching the video. I've been to the Ritz a few times now and tbh it's always been lovely. I did also go this year but the visit I did was not the best. I will be uploading that video in the coming weeks. I think it would be nice with real fresh flowers and the faux flowers gave it a less luxury special feel to the afternoon tea, but then I really love fresh flowers. As it's truffle season they had truffle egg sandwiches and I really liked them - but I do love truffles 😋 It was my first time at The Shard and I would go again. My friends really liked the lovely relaxing environment and it was nice they could have endless teas to try out. Thanks for your support and have a lovely weekend! 🤗
I realised that post editing 🤦♀️ but thanks so much for noting it 👌 I’m hoping to go back to the shard when it’s better weather as I think the views will be amazing with it’s clear. Thanks for watching! 🤗
It was 2pm on a Saturday so very busy. I usually do my afternoon teas in the week as it’s often quieter. My friends came with me to this one so we needed to do a weekend.
It was a chilled mousse with white chocolate coated around it, then the 'shards' of chocolate - it's supposed to represent the Shard building. It was pretty huge especially at the end of an afternoon tea. It was such a playful theme too. Thanks for watching! 🤗
Hey, you would need to request a window/view and it's not always guaranteed especially at busy times like the weekends. Usually I try to book my afternoon teas at quieter times and often mid week but this is mainly so I don't disrupt other guests when I film etc. My friends really enjoyed the whole experience at The Shard. Thanks for watching! 🤗
If all you you can say about the beef sandwich is its like a macdonalds burger shows you wasted your money on the afternoon tea You obviously don’t have the palate to ‘taste test’
Did you manage to go on a nice day? The London views from the Shard are lovely. It was a shame when I went with my friends that the weather was pretty bad. I think at night it would look really pretty too. 🤗

Jam first so it soaks in the scone, then cream which stays lovely and fluffy atop the jam.

Booked! Looking forward to the Ting afternoon tea experience, Thanks Jos! ❤
I'm glad the video helped. Let me know how it goes. 🤗
Hi Jos, the afternoon tea looked really nice, especially the sandwiches. Are you back in New Zealand now? Hope you have a great weekend. Take care. 🙂

His Jos, if you had to pick between the Shard, Fortnum and Mason and Kensington Palace for afternoon tea which would you pick? Going soon to London

About the scones, someone told me to put jam on one half and cream on the other, and just bite one at a time, nice technique! lol
Thanks. How do you like to have your scones? I prefer more clotted cream than jam on mine. 🤗
@@josatkin I prefer more jam, if it’s rhubarb much better.
@@megalodon9400 oh I’ve never had rhubarb jam but that sounds like something I would love. I might give that combo a try. 🤗
What time in the afternoon did you go to tea? Pretty loud

Hi what is the last piece, looks like ice cream but definitely is not since is not melting right?

Hi great video! Question, does everyone get a window seat or is that just by chance?

@@josatkin yes! I got there at 12:30, I could see all the way to Canary Wharf and beyond, it rained a bit, but got some nice pics.
@@megalodon9400 oh that’s good that you had a nice view.
