This song also reminds me of how much better Derek was for the songwriting. Jordan is a brilliant musician, but he has ruined songs by putting in silly parts in otherwise serious songs. In fact, when I caught Dream Theater recently, Jordan looked bored to death. I think he just does it for the paycheck at this point.
On Zeppelin 4/ZOSO Sandy Denny sang backup on 'The Battle of Evermore'. Inside my vinyl album sleeve I read the band members gave her a symbol. She was awesome. ✌🏼

He's very effortlessly at playing yet his playing is incredible. He seems in control of his motions and breathing which probably enables him to play for a very long time. Great drummer!!

Your tools are always so mighty, no need to overplay, you are the perfect mix of strenght, melody and understanding of hard rock feeling. And no one has ever mixed the hi-hats/splashes/staxx in the fills and patterns as you do.

as a drummer, who saw mp as a main inspiration, ive grown to see a new way of drumming take form. however... as basic as mike seems in comparison to some new age drummers, there still isn’t a drummer who can give a song a feeling quite like mp. he’s one of a kind and there’s nothing anyone can take away from that.
Pretty funny how he has four different shirts on. The editing must have taken forever. That Tom groove at the beginning is amazing. I can’t wait to learn that one.
