The weapon system in this game looks absolutely amazing. Riding skateboards, throwing footballs, thumbtacks. That is what stands out the most. The mere fact that it looks like a modern version of No Mercy and plays exactly like it. I am sold.
That Geman Suplex on the Apron, seems like everything is going to be interactable and there is so many weapons, this game is going to so fun and great for extreme moments
I'm not a huge fan of AEW, but this looks like it may be fun. I played a ton on wrestling games back in the day, and if this can bring back those feelings, I'm all for it.

That's how it has to be. We already have the 2k games that try to be as more realistic as possible. Something in between realism and arcade is what we need now. FULL SUPPORT!
They actually brought the old game Director from No Mercy out of retirement to work on this game. If it can bring back the magic of those AKI N64 games, I am completely sold.

I'm already digging the interaction with the environment. Like when wrestlers get knocked back they bump into the baracade, or that suplex onto the apron. Looks like some crazy fights.

well im over 25 years old, im 34, and I grew up with all the old games starting from wwf war zone, and then wwf attitude and then smackdown 1 and so on until the latest wee games, and I know this may surprise you, but I dont like going back in time, I like the realism that the newer games have had, and its what I always wanted from the old early smackdown games, I always waited for them to get more realistic, so yeah, this game is the complete opposite of what I wanted lol

It's been years since we've gotten something like that since WWE left the arcade feel to it. The amount of freedom in wrestling games hasn't been as fun unless you're playing something like Wrestling Empire.
Looks better than what they initally showed. Idk why people are expecting No Mercy or HCTP quality out the gate. It took years for us to get games of that quality. It's gonna take years for an AEW game to be perfect.

This game has me hyped! I also like that the female wrestlers can get bloodied just like the male wrestlers. It also looks like a game were creativity rules with unique match types. Can't wait to get my hands on this game.

I like a lot of elements of this game but the one thing that bugs me is it looks like we're not getting full entrances which imo takes away some of the emersion of actually being in the game
It is a slogan pretty much knocking games for being more complicated to play than they should be. I enjoy the WWE games too but 2K22 was a huge learning curve. The gameplay on this game is significantly simplified and familiar particularly with fans of games of the past. That is the sell on this game that it plays like No Mercy arguably the greatest wrestling game of all time.

Also, having a grapple and strong grapple sure helps too, along with unlimited Finisher in a given short time span.
