the HP ratings on some things are really hard to get around, as some knockoff products claim those high numbers as a upper tensile shear limit not a nominal "trucking load", but anyways their is another 400'000 mile scat 4.6 receiving lucas injections just to make it the last 500 miles making 84hp on all 8 cylinders somehow broking three 8.8 axles. think it would pick up 100hp just replacing the standard piston rings with another standard set? nearly 1 billion reciprocations in the engine, still running.

I did the nations 270 amp alternator for my 07 gt500. They have similar alternator issues like terminators but not as bad. The issue is the style of alternator the ford 6g style is crap...replacing it with an ho 6g style dont fix the issue because the issue is the 6g style itself. Ive seen guys replace alternators multiple times within a year. You have to change to a diff style the nations changes it to a large case denso style plus its a 270 amp. My volts ride at 14+ most of the time even when warm. I also have a badass anti gravity battery that despite being only 13 lbs has 40 ah and 1500 cold cranking amps. Its a badass battery a lithium. I beleive the alternator you have for the cobra also changes the style away from the 6g. All the good replacements that actually last a long time without issue are. My original alternator didnt go out but volts would drop into the 12s randomly so i think it was on its way out so i went ahead and put the nations on when i did the gen3r. I wanna make sure the pump boosters have plenty of voltage also the stock alternator has trouble keeping up above 6000 rpm. Even revving to only 6500 like i do on stock bottom end the stock alternator has trouble keeping up at those rpms. Learn from so many others many mistakes and do it right the first time like you and i did. Dont bother with stock replacement or any 6g style ho or otherwise. Ford changed over to the large case denso style on 2010 and up mustangs and there was a reason for it. You should do the same especially if youre modified making good power. Im pretty sure this alternator fixes the main issue as well ive heard of them.

Isn't Iats the big issue with cobras? The intercooler bricks are tiny right? Department of boost probably has the right stuff to keep it cool.

What pd injectors would you suggest for a 03 Mach1 when its procharged?
It depends on the mods and boost level and stuff you'll probably need like 47# injectors at minimum. You could prob get by with less depending but no reason when 47s are cheap and readily available. On e85 you might need more. Lots of details that matter when deciding on what injector.

any reason why not to do the Head cooling mod while motor is out?
I personally have never seen any real data that it is beneficial. Not to say it isn’t but I didn’t feel it was necessary here.
