I remember their old shop in Birmingham on Carr's lane (on a side street in the centre of Birmingham, opposite Marks and Spencer) - I used to have a student job working in M&S!
I understand that it does very little for your marketing of modern guns, but I really enjoy knowledgeable discussions of such fine examples of craftsmanship from the great days of British (and other) gunmaking art. Thank you. Be careful. Stay well. Better days will come.
What a beauty ! Long may we use these older works of art. Appreciate you including all the bits and bobs that make up the history of such a piece. Thanks for sharing. All the best from Scotland. Garry
Hello Johnny hope you are well Another stunning English gun that will be sent to the scrap bin thanks to BASC and co . Unfortunately my membership was renewed on the day that BASC dropped this on us all but next years membership will not happen. It was nice to see all the paperwork that came in the case keep up the good work and my regards to all the lads and lady’s in the shop Dave
Great video, really enjoyed it. managed to pick up a William Powell and Son of a similar vintage last year only wish my case was in fantastic condition like that one.
Great to look at and talk about these old masterpeices. I collect the odd one when i can and love to shoot with them as well. I was never into modern guns they just dont have the same history and passion.
Fascinating insight into this lovely WP - love your enthusiasm for such items Jonny, it's very infectious 😁 Maybe you could consider a future career as an antique gun auctioneer? - or would it take rather longer than the allowed time to present the piece to the room?? (hehe!) 😁😁
Hi Jonny thanks for another fantastic offering in these unprecedented times! Please keep them coming:) Not an English gun I know but you're a knowledgeable young sort, what are your thoughts on a Union Armera Windsor Deluxe? With lockdown and time on my hands I have the urge to invest in an 'old' SxS and one is for sale near me.
Hi Johny, really your videos are very informative , what a beautiful shotgun , how much it cost , very nice , i think William Powell are making shotguns by Arrieta in Spain
I becoming 18 in 6 months and I want to buy my own gun I'm want to buy a O/U shotgun 12ga around 2000€ for hunting but for skeet shooting too can you tell me some of your ideas. Thanks.
Being a very understanding of firearms questions can you help a farmer that I do fox control during lamping he has given me ritten permission to shoot foxes is that enough for me to go shooting foxes
Indeed. Make Sure the letter outlines the importance and urgency of the task. Phone 101 and let the police know you are out. I would also add - don’t advertise that you are out.
Thank you for your wonderful channel and your videos!!!! HOWEVER.....for the love of all that is even remotely holy, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add some additional lighting to your videos!!!!! Your enthusiasm is obvious for the wonderful details of these firearms such as the engraving and details of the Damascus barrels. Yet the purpose of your “enthrallment” seems defeated when those beautiful Damascus barrels appear to be a uniform brown and the engraving can’t be distinguished or appreciated in the poor lighting. The addition of increased lighting would greatly improve your videos. Just my opinion. Thanks again!!!
I am definitely born into the wrong time because there is nothing finer then a hand built side by side and only do clay shooting and putting thousands of shoots tho one not best idea. 😢
Thank you for showing all the accessories in detail. I wish current premium-ish guns would come with such a package.
Here here, the cost is negligible for these bits in the grand scheme of things, but the addition to the gun immense
They make great fun clays guns too! That's where my classic doubles spend most of their time.

Nice 👌
Hi, any chance to review a new William Powell? great videos...
Hail Johnny.. there's a freaking heat wave over here..Ireland
Same here, sunburnt as they come!
I remember pressing my nose against the window of Powell's in Carrs lane as a boy staring at all the guns dreaming of owning one.
And now you can for the price of a pair of designer jeans
Turks head brush, you could get them made from one of the manufacturers
Beautiful gun, what would that be worth?
Hard one! You see these varying in value massively depending on the desperation of either buyer or seller.
£700-£1700 is realistic
