  • Aldi is known for passing the savings onto their customers. With an easy-to-navigate floor plan, unique brands, and low prices, Aldi has become the go-to alternative to big box stores. With Aldi’s low prices on meat and dairy, and a plethora of new brands to try, it can distract even the most conscientious shopper. One aisle most shoppers tend to overlook is the canned food aisle. There are plenty of great finds in the canned food aisle, but there are also several options you will want to stay far away from. Before your next grocery trip, make sure to check out the canned foods you should never buy from Aldi.

While none of these products are available in Australia, out version of SPAM has mixed qualities. Eaten cold it is quite nice, but it has a hidden secret that you find when you cook it.
Once cooked, it tastes like it is about 50% salt!! Something to think about even when it's cold.
I recently bought some tinned tomatoes rather than fresh ones. The fresh were absolutely tasteless, and the price went up $1.00 per Kg in just a week. The tinned ones are cheap and tasty.
Other than that, I have never had a problem with anything I have bought at Aldi. And I can pay about 50% of what I would pay at the other big supermarkets. Brilliant!!
